The cellars at Ashford Castle have always housed great wines from all over the world; this is reflected in our award-winning wine list of over 600 wines. This wine list has evolved over the years and today it has wines from every corner of the globe. To help you choose a wine by the glass we have selected the following wines for your enjoyment. Our Full Wine List is available upon request. One of the most exciting additions to our list in recent years is the inclusion of the wines from our winery in South Africa, Bouchard Finlayson, set up in 1989. Collaboration has always been a part of this wine estate, which is today owned by the Tollman family of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection and collaboratively run by Victoria Tollman and Peter Finlayson

This was an amazing experience. We had a last minute adjustment to our party size (2 instead of 3) and the staff was so accommodating. They were all attentive and kind without being overbearing. The food and drinks were phenomenal, with a lovely view of the grounds. I would absolutely recommend this experience!

Lovely setting but food was very disappointing! The potato and leek soup was more like flavoured water but the bread was very fresh and delicious. The beef brisket baguette was pleasant but better quality could easily be found elsewhere. Would not recommend or return for the food.

Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. It was pure magic. We didn’t want to leave. It’s breathtaking from the moment you set your eyes on the castle & drive onto the grounds. Pure heaven 🏰 we plan on going back soon.

The most spectacular afternoon Tea in the most stunning setting. The staff are absolutely fantastic,their attention to detail is outstanding. I just cannot recommend Ashford Castle enough .I had waited so long to go and I was truly blown away . Loved every moment ❣️ Will keep coming back. Top marks on all aspects .

We had afternoon tea which was fabulous. The service was great. The scenery of the lake was gorgeous. It was friends birthday & they had a small cake and candle as a surprise & staff sang Happy Birthday to her. It was a lovely experience

It’s a fun experience to eat lunch at Ashford Castle. You feel so fancy! However, the chairs and tables are oddly mismatched and not comfortable to sit in. It felt like the table was a foot away because the chair had my knees hitting the table. And if you sit on the sofa, you’re really oddly set. The food is pretty tasty, although a bit pricey.

The food was very good, however, the design of the tables make it impossible to sit close, which meant we had to lean way over to eat our soup so it wouldn't end up in our laps.
