My heart sank with disappointment, a feeling too profound to overlook. As I looked forward to my second dining experience here, I couldn’t have predicted the letdown that awaited us. We had come to celebrate my dad's monumental 60th birthday, a momentous occasion that should have been filled with joy but instead felt like a heartbreaking misstep. I had once sung praises of this place, where my son savored his very first steak, sparking a lifelong passion for it. But as fate would have it, the evening did not unfold as I had hoped. First, our lobster scampi arrived unceremoniously lukewarm, the enthusiasm completely soaked in tepid sauce. Then my dad, excitedly ordering his steak medium-well plus, was met with a disheartening chain of errors; the first plate came out medium, and the second was a charred disappointment. And the crab cake? A mere shadow of what was promised—barely enough to satisfy, let alone celebrate. Finally, the mac-n-cheese was served warm, lacking the soul and comfort one expects from such a beloved dish. Despite the food failing us, our server, Makayla, radiated warmth and determination, trying her best to mend the evening on our behalf. The bar manager, Mr. X, who remembered us fondly from Father's Day, offered a glimmer of kindness, ensuring we had remade steaks and complimentary cocktails—a genuine gesture in a sea of disappointment. Yet, as I reflect on this evening, my heart feels heavy. I question whether I could return for another meal, raw from the knowledge that our special celebration—my dad's milestone birthday—was diminished, despite the hefty $280 spent. Something went awry that night, and I can't shake the feeling that the kitchen needs to recalibrate its heart and soul.

We always love coming to Drake’s. Only issue we had last night was when we were checking in the host tried to seat us at the bar when we already had reservations. Still five star restaurant in my book and I will be back.

Absolutely a grand experience with an awesome Vibe! The vibrant colors and music was great! Music too loud for dinner conversation, but will visit again and add to my top restaurant memo!!

The outing was eventful and memorable. I service was great and the food was tasty. It was our first time visiting and we'd love to return some day.
