Very disappointed with our experience this evening. Hopefully not indicative of the normal experience eating at a well-established Bend restaurant with a solid reputation. Main points of note: 1) Employees were very polite, clearly wanted us to have a good experience. 2) Smoked trout app and biscuit from the friend chicken were delicious. Biscuit especially was dense, fluffy, and flavorful. Hot honey a nice add. 3) Fried chicken was clearly undercooked. I tore it apart making the red/bloody and wet inner meat and bone very obvious. Three employees visited our table and could easily see this, but said nothing. When we asked to have it removed from the bill, they did so with apologies. 4) We called before we came to make sure the vegan dish on the online menu (summer vegetable ravioli with cashew cream sauce) was still on the evening’s menu. They assured us it was. It was not. It had been replaced with a basic pasta dish with a “cream sauce” that was the consistency of vegetable broth. Not worthy of serving at a restaurant like this. 5) the staff are not properly trained. Missed obvious keys (the bloody chicken, the barely eaten pasta) and didn’t even ask if we were enjoying our meal (we were not). They also did not refill water for a three-top in an hour and a half dinner. They brought us a drink we did not order(two patrons reupped, and they brought refills for all three). They did not know who’s food/drinks were whose. It seems like a small thing, but the fourth time your conversation is interrupted by food auctioneers, it gets tired. Especially at a nice restaurant. A drink was cleared before empty. The appetizer was cleared before finished (this was replaced gratuit, which was appropriated). 6) The last straw was that the comment card delivered with the bill had “5” for service already circled. This was unbelievable for great service and unthinkable for the service we were provided. Lots of room for improvement.

Food ok…. Salmon was ok. Chicken was ok. Drinks were amazing. Service was great. Probably won’t go back simply because for the price it just wasn’t that spectacular. It looks like it was an old diner that has been converted. Still has that diner feel to it.

Amazing gluten free vegan summer pasta! As a celiac who can’t eat dairy either it was perfection! Whole family enjoyed their meals.

Good and service were great. Highly recommend the toasted coconut lemonade with vodka. 👌🏼 Spicy shrimp and the rib eye were also delicious and cooked perfectly.
