Located in the heart of Janesville’s downtown, drafthouse, is a fun, high-energy downtown gastropub that celebrates the richness of American culture through its appetizing and progressive bar fare. Both the restaurant philosophy and menu offerings draw heavily from two barroom staples: beer and spirits.

drafthouse is the downtown place-to-be for locals and tourists alike. Set in a warm modernist design, the restaurant and bar offer 24 draft beers, a wine list of over 120 offerings, the counties largest whiskey selection and an extensive spirt and cocktail list. The abundant windows show off the interior space to the downtowns successful relaunch. And, rooted in the idea that we are indeed a community, four large communal tables foster a sense of gathering where deliciously innovative food, conversation and drink can be shared amongst friends and neighbors.

Food was fantastic. Service is delightful, accommodating and informative. Price is as indicated. Atmosphere is bright and welcoming. Will go again.

Great restaurant. Good Food. The Brussell Sprouts are amazing & also the Draft Haus Craft Burger. Delish!

Had the Walleye, and the Steak & Bleu Pasta. Include a couple of Beverages and the results were an excellent Dinner. Will definitely be back!

A good place to meet and share a meal. Servers were very friendly. Food is decent, not great.

The food and service was excellent. The wait time for food was fine. Prices were appropriate. I love the ahi salad. The Brew burger had outstanding taste. I don’t drink beer so had their $9 wine. Even though it was their lowest price, at that price I expected it to be better.

The Drafthouse is definitely a must if you’re looking for libations and excellent food. Where else can you get cubed cheese curds, a 12” pretzel, baked French Onion Soup, and numerous appetizers. Then there is the great dinner selection of food from salads, to a filet. We personally had the tacos, a Craft Burger, and the chicken tenders. Also loved the unique French fries.

My girlfriend and I were on a date night. The ambiance was good but the staff was so loud it took away from being an intimate experience. I am ok with staff having fun but they were so loud that my girlfriend and I were having a tough time conversing. Only 3 other tables had customers and we were tucked into a corner away from the bar so there was little customer noise. We both had the fillet medium rare. Flavor was good but meat was dry suggesting the marbling in the meat wasn't consistent with prime or choice grading. Asparagus was perfect as was the creme brûlée cheesecake. Overpriced for the ecperience. My girlfriend and I both commented that we would have done better paying top price for quality ingredients at home and cooking it ourselves to have a quieter date night.
