On this, The restaurants original site, Doyles on the Beach opened Australia's first seafood restaurant in 1885. We have been family owned and operated for over 5 generations.

The restaurant internationally famous and a mecca for Sydneysiders and tourists alike, offering a stunning range of fresh seafood for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

Family Friendly, Great for date night!, indoor & outdoor dining located right next to the beach. We cater for families, business lunches, special events, weddings & special occasions. private rooms available.

Visit our newly opened open-air Garden Bar (open daily 11.30am - late) , try one of our refreshing cocktails, a draught beer or a glass of wine before dining in the restaurant or why not order from the garden bar menu. (reservations excepted for both the restaurant & garden bar)

We booked the restaurant about a week ago. We arrived approximately 15 minutes early before our reservation. Upon arrival, our host said that he did not think we had a reservation because we did not confirm it. It was clear that our reservation was confirmed as we had a confirmation number. He offered to seat us outside. I said I wasn’t expecting to sit outside since I had an early reservation. He begrudgingly sat us inside, even though there were six open tables and only one was occupied. After I showed him the confirmation number and asked if I should report the problem to Open Table, he backtracked and said no that’s not necessary, our system just says it’s not confirmed. And if it’s confirmed, we normally call the person that day to be sure. I just replied, well every place is different and a confirmation from open table should be enough. (It was clear that he was lying and covering his tracks. I would hate to think it was because we were Americans in a foreign country.) We were seated at our table. The waiter came up to get our drink order. He came by a little later and asked if we were ready to order which we did. He spoke very broken English and there was clearly a language barrier. We ordered the surf and turf and he asked how we would like the steak cooked and my husband said rare. He said do you want it medium or medium well, and my husband again said rare; and he said well done? and he said for the third time rare. I finally looked up and said rare is the way he wants it, like red inside and mooing, and he finally understood. Then my husband ordered a garden salad and I ordered some fish and chips. When everything came (at the same time) it was correct except for the garden salad, which he brought a prawn salad (costs about $20 more). We did not correct him, but just took the salad and my husband ate it which was fine. Clearly someone who has such trouble understanding the English language, should not be a waiter. The food was delicious-rec’d to us.

Food good, it was busy so we did have to wait for service. Bit disappointed as we booked for a special occasion, our Anniversary, which you can pick on booking and there was no recognition of it at all. Didn't want much just a happy Anniversary on our dessert would have made it better, like other venues. We will go back but not for a special occasion.

Loved the views back to the city. Service was excellent. We loved the bugs and paella main. The people the view the ferry ride there it is just an amazing spot. We also scored beautiful weather!

Web site said Seafood Chowder. Chowder only available in winter. Very disappointing. 4 of us had fish and chips. Chips very poor. Overpriced fish and chips. Wine service below par ☹️☹️☹️

A truly iconic occasion for my elderly Mum visiting Doyle’s for the first time since her childhood over 80 years ago. Served so well by Ethan (from Atlanta!). The flathead was the standout - super moist and delicious.
