Situated within the Main Lodge at The Preserve Resort & Spa, Double Barrel Steak offers the public and overnight guests a rustic, inviting setting to enjoy modern American steakhouse-inspired cuisine where seasonal menus are offered in ways that provide a most engaging guest experience. As a nod to Rhode Island’s “Ocean State” moniker, the restaurant offers “ocean steaks,” including swordfish, halibut and tuna. In homage to The Preserve’s outdoor experiences, game will also play a seasonal role on the menu. For gentlemen, collared shirts are required, no shorts or flip flops.

Setup a birthday dinner for my mother who was turning 87 years young. Everything from the moment we walked in to when we left 4 hours later was outstanding. All of my guests were amazed at the presentation and tastiness of their meals. Our server…Kristina knocked it out of the park.

Food was cold. I needed to send my food back due to uncooked. Service was absolutely terrible. They change an 18 percent tip which is why the servers seemed not to care. The manager was totally useless and other than it being beautiful it was way over priced and again the terrible service can’t be understated. I never seed food back, but at $245.00 for three people without drinks and desert, I needed to at this place. Absolutely not worth the trip. Terrible place to spend a special occasion.

Food is excellent. Staff is very friendly. The green velvety chairs are so comfortable and the ambiance is beautiful. The only downfall is it takes a while to get your food even if they are not very busy. I always reserve an earlier dinner time because of this. Will return

Food is excellent. However, place is tricky to find. Apparently a common problem . Only issue was we had to tell the waitress twice my dessert never came. Finally showed up approximately 20 minutes after my husband finished his. We will go again however.

My husband and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary dinner at the double barrel steakhouse. And we were treated to a private dining exclusive experience. It was absolutely outstanding. They gave us an anniversary card waiting for us at our table and a special piece of cake at the end. It was truly an outstanding and amazing experience. We can't wait to go back.

Went for a birthday celebration. Disappointed in so many areas. Bar stools way too low. Tables for two guests were way too long, almost awkward having a conversation. Bacon amazing. Lobster dumplings and lobster ravioli's very good. Rib Eye was very tough but Manager was kind enough to remove from the bill. Key Lime Pie was still a little frozen. Didn't have our first choice of wine.All in all, a beautiful place that needs a little refinement to justify the expense. Not sure if we would return.
