Situated within the Main Lodge at The Preserve Sporting Club & Resort, Double Barrel Steak offers both the public and overnight guests a rustic, inviting setting to enjoy modern American steakhouse-inspired cuisine. The seasonal menu is thoughtfully curated to provide an engaging and memorable dining experience. In homage to Rhode Island’s 'Ocean State' moniker, the restaurant features 'ocean steaks' such as swordfish, halibut, and tuna. Additionally, game dishes will appear seasonally, reflecting The Preserve’s outdoor spirit. For gentlemen, collared shirts are required, and no shorts or flip-flops are permitted. Double Barrel Steak is open to the public.

The location was great property was clean. When we entered the we greeted by polite staff and seated right away. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the cocktails and menu. We had shrimp cocktail they were cooked perfectly, we were shocked at how big they were, we ordered the tomahawk steak which was cooked to perfect medium and was so tender. We will return and recommend to our friends

This was our first time here, took my husband for his birthday dinner. The experience was wonderful. The service was excellent. The appetizers were great. The steaks were perfectly cooked to our order. The sides were more than enough.

Restaurant was loud, tables so big it's hard to talk. Disappointed they ran out of popovers and lobster ravioli.

Really a little hidden gem steakhouse in RI. It is in the Private Club Preserve but the restaurant is open to the public. Great food and a good price.

We had such a lovely time, it was a great place to celebrate a birthday. Lots of attention to detail. Food was beyond my expectation as well as the service. Would absolutely go back.!

At this price point, we were very underwhelmed. We should have known when there was plenty of availability on a Saturday night, but we still had high hopes that this would be even better than similar style steakhouses in Providence. You pay for bread, which is kind of a bummer, bot ok. I actually liked the popover but the cornbread was meh. The Caesar salads were ok. My husband said the lemon flavor in his dressing was overpowering. It was supposed to have anchovies which would be something you could taste at all in the dressing,. The steaks...my fillet at 58 dollars was good but not great. My husband and sons 20 oz ribeyes at 75 dollars each were not good. Both had silverskin in their steak, a lack of marbling, and some char that made them not great at all. The whipped potatoes tasted like literally only potatoes. No seasoning whatsoever. How can you mess up mashed potatoes? Service was good. This was just a whole lot of money for so so food, when we were really excited to try a new steakhouse.

Delicious food! My husband had the short ribs and I had the scallop risotto. It came with shrimp but I asked for only scallops which was no problem. Well I’ve never seen scallops that big! They were amazing. My husband was impressed with his plate too. Portion size was plenty. We had an amazing server named Ava that really added to our beautiful evening with a booth facing the fireplace. She was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and helped us choose a bottle. We will be returning to try some steaks. We also wished we had ordered the bread plate because we saw it go by and it looked delightful.

Took my mother and her friend from Ca to lunch along with my mother’s local friends. It was her friends first time to the Preserve. Our server Bry impressed them all. The only thing better than the food was the outstanding service provided by the server. Thank you for providing an exceptional experience.

Phenomenal service—cheers Ben. Great food. Was a little bummed that the kitchen swapped the temps on our respective steaks, but we resolved on our own by sharing amongst us. I’d return again to try one of the meals as opposed to the ala carte options.
