The poor service was the main issue here. We had a drinks order taken and poppadums served in a reasonable timeframe but then waited over an hour for our main course with little communication from our server apart from ‘the kitchen is very busy tonight’ The food was unremarkable and my aubergine curry was the consistency of baby food and didn’t taste or look like Aubergine. A pretty disappointing dining experience

First time here. I always say it’s fair to judge a restaurant by its website. In the case of Dosa Park, their website appears ‘clunky’ and this matched the restaurant. There didn’t seem to be a professional approach to guests upon entering the restaurant but the staff were very pleasant and friendly. The menu looked good and wasn’t cluttered like some typical Indian restaurants. In fact, the menu was inspirational in the sense that it attracted me to the fact that recipes were mainly South Indian and flavours brought down from generations, so I was expecting something special. Unfortunately, much of the food did not tickle the taste buds. Popadoms were fresh and crispy (perhaps a little fragile as they broke when dipped in sauce). The sauces were strange. The mint raita tasted of mint but something else that was unpleasant. Another dark runny sauce that didn’t impress. The mango chutney was okay. Interesting was the offering of Chinese style noodles, but nothing more to match it with, however, opted for the fried chicken noodles which were very good. The Idli (rice cakes) were okay but the sauces had little flavour and had a powdery texture. One sauce tasted like gazpacho too and certainly no spice or punchy flavour. Also ordered a Lamb Biryani (my personal benchmark of judging an Indian restaurant)…this was actually very nice, bursting with flavours and well-spiced. It is accompanied by a white sauce which contains Yogurt as well as small diced vegetables. The meat was cut into decent chunks and cooked nicely. In addition, we had a Mughlai Chicken which was just okay. The gravy had the flavour of any mild curry, so again, slightly disappointed with the lack of unique flavouring. My partner used the toilet towards the end of the night and the lights were not working so she decided not to use the toilet. This is not acceptable in any circumstance. Overall, not very impressed and I cannot see the restaurant lasting very long unless it has endless funding.

Awful service No menu on arrival - No offer of a drinks menu, we had to ask! Other tables fed up and left. Had to ask to order 90 min wait for food then when it arrived the food was cold. And they forgot one of our mains. Restaurant freezing Avoid!

The food and service was quite simply outstanding. Both the starters and the main were fantastic and full of flavour. We will definitely return to this gem of a restaurant.

Wonderful lunchtime meal. A good wecome and quickly moved us to our table. We were not pushed to order which was nice. We ordered our food which arrived in a reasonable time, the food was sublime ( 1st and 2nd course ). Background music was just nice not to loud, the whole restaurant including the toilets were spotless. With a nice goodbye, we left and we will be going back.

An exceptional meal. True Indian food. Excellent service from start to finish. Recommended to all genuine Indian food lovers. We will definitely be going again.

Absolutely loved our food! One of the best Indian foods we've tasted and can't wait to go back. I personally played safe with my favourite butter chicken which was divine but I did have food envy with every plate that came past me. They are all lovely and polite and really value your visit which is so lovely to experience nowadays.

The restaurant was about half full when we were there but unfortunately service was very slow. We didn’t get one of the starters that we ordered and the food also took a long time to come. The portions were small and the naan bread was quite flat. The starters that we did have tasted lovely.
