Donna Mare Italian Chophouse brings the soul of Italy's sun-kissed coast to Miami Beach. Here, generations of family recipes meet the bounty of land and sea, crafting an experience that transforms dining into a celebration of simple pleasures.

Nestled alongside the iconic Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club, the heart of Donna Mare's kitchen is the pasta room where our dedicated Sfoglina creates pasta magic by hand, just as her father taught her in their family shop in Emilia-Romagna. From our wood-burning oven, a 50-year-old mother yeast—passed down through generations—gives life to our signature pizzas, a hybrid of Neapolitan and alla Palla styles. Our menu honors coastal Italian traditions through organic, expertly aged steaks, wood-fired seafood, and house-made pastas and desserts.

Lovely restaurant, great service! Food was maybe average. Salad was good, shrimp fishy, lasagna was dry and mealy. I had a martini... was charged for having it served up and was charged for it being dirty. Never again!

We were delighted to find Donna Mare Chophouse in Miami's posh South Beach neighborhood. It makes a strong statement having the pasta making station to the left of the front entrance door: you know the pasta is fresh. The interior of the restaurant is upscale, comfortable and classy with a mid-century aire. We chose to sit outside where the street noise was a little louder, but the ocean breeze provided natural air conditioning. Leo was amazing and attentive. In fact, all of the staff worked hard to make sure we had a great experience. The special salmon appetizer was well presented and delicious. The burrata comes with two types of homemade bread, and the Ossobuco Angolotti was fantastic with just the right amount of brown butter sauce. A bit of Italian wine, and we were hooked. Donna Mare is on our "must return" list.

This place was great. Went with two very young kids and the server was excellent with that. Got them apple juice and butter noodles even though they don’t have a kid menu. The charged a very reasonable price for all of that too. And they didn’t rush us out just because we had kids and it’s a nice place. Overall a great experience with great service and excellent food.

I’ve never been so disappointed in a dinner experience in my life. I’ve been to what I thought was this restaurant before until my food arrived. Everything was completely different and I’ve never been not able to eat any of what I ordered:( Wait..the $10 small piece of bread was okay….the rest from the salad to the chicken parm to the pasta was the worst I’ve ever tried. 2 people without alcohol was $180 for two pasta meals that were inedible. So at the very end when I tried to order the desert that I remembered from the last time I ate there they finally told me that they kept the name and reputation of the previous owners of Donna Mar and didn’t serve the same food. Well that explains it all. Don’t get taken like I did! Even paid to commute there just for the desert that still shows on their online menu. Super disappointed and ended up going to another restaurant to get more food and desert after leaving the FAKE Donna Mar!!! BEWARE!!

Hostess, waiters and bus people were all attentive, welcoming and professional. We dined here twice during our stay at the Cadillac Hotel. The cocktails, pasta and steaks were all delicious and presented beautifully. They also have a fabulous tiramisu & cheesecake! Very enjoyable dining experience.

We wait around an hour to get our food serve to the table, nobody check on us not even once… we have to see people next to us that got there after us got their food first and the waiters even management checking on them. The taste of the food was just okay definitely not worth for waiting a whole hour for that food. In the back all you could hear was the chefs screaming at each other. When we paid they had a QR code where you could pay and honestly they were taking so long to take my card that I pay with the code instead of waiting for the server to come and check me out, once we paid we were heading out and the server came to us to tell us that we didn’t pay which makes no sense since they have a code for that so it shouldn’t be an issue if a customer walks out. Honestly we wanted to give the restaurant a try but the food, the service and the experience itself was not nice at all.
