   Amazing food and atmosphere! Such a welcoming and bright vibe in the restaurant! My friend and I celebrated our birthdays here. We didn’t realize we needed to ask for the Party Menu, but we enjoyed the $25 off our bill, along with the sparklers and billboard! The white wine sangria is amazing and the pernil was BIG! A whole shoulder to yourself practically, had to take most of it home with me, but I don’t mind the delicious left overs! Will definitely be back!

   The vibes in the restaurant were amazing with a scenic view. It’s in an area that has a lot of parking so you don’t really need to do valet. When you go on Fridays and Saturday you can’t alter the menu, only on weekdays. The music slaps and there’s live music on tuesdays

   I was excited to visit the new Don Coqui in Edgewater as I have been to the other locations. I was extremely disappointed with the service. The security guard was homophonic and sarcastic. Our waitress, although very nice, kept getting our order and the table next to us order wrong so we got the wrong food. The food was okay. Nothing that made it stand out. The portion sizes were inconsistent. If you got the house special pernil but the other dishes like the steak were relatively small. The music was good, 90% Spanish, it was just extremely extremely loud. To the point the waitress kept saying “huh” and leaning in when we were placing orders. The view and ambiance was beautiful. You are overlooking the ocean and the NYC skyline. The inside was new and clean. Don’t pay attention to the dress code because it says no sweatpants or sweat shirt but if you are Hispanic they will let you in. Don’t be black, then they want you in a tuxedo.

   First timer felt very rushed!! Dinner came out while eating apps but Mgr J May it all worth it and made our stay long and welcomed. Will be back

   We are long-time patrons from new Rochelle to city island to dyckman to white plains and Haverstraw! It's nice to return to something familiar! Our server. Susie was great! Very attentive. The music was at a volume where you could actually have a conversation without yelling! Very nice, overall.
