We had a great anniversary dinner here. Dolce Riviera went above and beyond to serve us, even had a handwritten anniversary card on the table waiting on us. Little details matter

I’m a local and thought my out of town colleagues would love it. As a group of ladies, how could we say no to a beautiful patio, homemade pasta and wine?! We had a couple last minute additions to our table. I called twice beforehand and even left a message. But never heard back. Thankfully I was able to update our total on OpenTable, and they were able to accommodate with no issues. Once we were all there, they seated us. Our server started off great. Asking if any of us had been there before then went through the menu carefully. It was a lot to take in. But we were thankful for the thoroughness. Then he left. It took him a good 15 minutes before coming back to take our drink order. Mind you, we had no water, no bread, nothing on our table. Then it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. Then he left. Then had to come back again to take our order. To be fair, we were a party of 12. But parties that came in after us, of similar size, were getting drinks and food much quicker than us. Our reservation was at 7. We didn’t get bread on our table till 745. At one point, I saw the head chef and I called him over to express my concern. Many at our table had experienced long travel days then the beginning of a conference. We were tired. And we were hungry. He was very kind and very understanding. And it wasn’t but maybe 5 minutes after my conversation with him that our appetizers started to arrive. We got our first bite of actual food at 830. We didn’t leave till 945. The food was incredible. We each got something different and not one of us had a complaint. I was thankful for the chef and his desire to make things right. Our waiter clearly needs some additional training. He argued with guests when they said they received the wrong beverages and questioned people’s choices.

We had a great meal on the amazing patio...and our service was great. Not hurried and personable. I loved the sweet potato risotto! So beautiful with some colorful texture and balsamic!

Poor communication and attitude from host staff. Reservation time was not honored & several two tops that arrived after were sat ahead of my party.

The food was amazing! Our server, Andrea Winn, recommended a few things and she was spot on!! We aren’t used to ‘fancier’ places, but she made us feel very welcome.

It was a Tuesday night and it was pretty dead in there. We decided to sit at the bar. We ordered bruschetta off the happy hour menu, and when it showed up, there was just one piece of bread for the two of us. I asked if that was usual, and the bartender was nice enough to bring us a couple more pieces, which took a good 10 minutes. We ordered food which took close to an hour to get, even after I had expressed my displeasure. The dressing on the Caesar salad was not good, one off a grocery store shelf would’ve been far superior. However, the Salmon and Bolognese were very good. The bartender/server was nice as could be and asked my wife if we wanted a free dessert for the wait, but we don’t eat dessert so my wife declined. There was no other offer to make up for the ridiculous amount of time we waited. Restaurant does not seem well run, unfortunately, we live close by but probably will not go back, and we really used to love this place.
