The award winning Coach House Tea Room at Doddington Hall offers an exquisite Afternoon Tea experience that promises to be a treat for everyone. With an array of options, it's a perfect setting for indulging in a leisurely afternoon with friends or loved ones.

Delight in a delicious selection of finger sandwiches, Hambleton’s special breed pork sausage roll, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam accompanied by an array of famous Doddington cakes and sweet treats with the option of additional extras and upgrades.

Choose sittings from; 12.00pm, 12.30pm, 2.30pm or 3.00pm.

Please note that your table is available for 1.5 hours from your booking time. We recommend pre-booking online to avoid disappointment. Walk-ins subject to availability.

Absolutely lovely, only small things, gluten free choice was more sweet than savoury, so balance could be better, would like more discretion, menu had the price on, did say it was special occasion, then bill wasn’t presented discreetly either. Just a tip that’s all. Lastly it’s quite echoing in the venue, so just maybe turn the music down a tiny bit? I know no one wants to hear others chatter but that and the music makes it difficult and so the noise level of voices just goes up. Your quite right we probably could have sat outside but heath reasons prevented this request. Staff were lovely!

Nice food and decent choice (savoury, vegetarian etc). But why on earth would you play rock and roll on the PA in a historical house afternoon tea? Who makes these decisions?

My issue is booking. Difficult online. Called in and told someone would call us to discuss. No one did. After numerous attempts by us our son and daughter we finally succeeded. Could be improved. Sandwiches dry. Add pickles dips sauces maybe? Hot towels to clean hands maybe? Overall very good.

We were lucky to be given a voucher for afternoon tea for two - booking was easy, I did it online, and then I was emailed & sent a text to remind me the day before. The food was excellent. Generous portions, lots of choose, the vegetarian choices were very good, and other dietary needs were on offer. We were able to have as much tea as we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite we ate. Service was good - discreet, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were beaten by a couple of items so a box was provided and we happily took them home. It was a lovely treat and a lovely way to spend some time with each other.

Was very disappointed as we have been before and enjoyed it.. Sandwiches - bread didn’t taste fresh.. Last time we had a traditional afternoon tea there was sausage rolls not this time .. No staff came to check that everything was alright and not offered a refill tea / coffee .. But they did go to tables either side of us.. We certainly won’t be coming back again

Very nice area for a cream tea, view to the outdoor space. Would be gorgeous on a sunny day.

We enjoyed it but have had better, sandwiches were getting stale and one had no ham in it. The watercress was wilted and soggy so picked that out. The cheese scone was very heavy but the fruit scone was light and delicious. Overall it was nice.
