The Dockside Restaurant offers superbly prepared classic dishes in a setting like no other. Located on the waterfront where Granville Island faces the city, guests can enjoy panoramic views across False Creek to the world-famous cityscape of Yaletown and beyond to the mountains of the North Shore.



The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails. The award-winning patio catches sunlight from morning to late afternoon. Protected on three sides it’s an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek. Recent renovations have added fireplaces and casual seating areas to this Vancouver destination.

    Virginia was working quite hard when we visited Dockside restaurant. She was obviously dealing with too many tables but handled things with grace and good humour. It was great to spend time on the patio!

    We enjoyed another excellent meal at Dockside. They never disappoint. Beautiful views of False Creek. Really enjoying their summer menu. Can't wait to come back!

    This restaurant has a lovely patio, but doesn't honour reservations booked for it. I booked an "outdoor" table, and when I arrived, they seated me inside the restaurant. The next table they seated was the same, and the customers complained, but were told there were no outdoor tables. This restaurant needs to manage its reservation system and numbers better to avoid disappointment. Also, service here is always hit or miss, but the food is very good, if expensive. They have a good happy hour menu, though.

    It was lovely. Server was very friendly. Food and drinks were good. Halibut was a bit dry. But flavour was there. Overall, was the best visit we have had there.

    The perfect spot on a warm summer evening - the location beside a marina has fabulous views of the water, city and mountains. We dined on a selection of appetizers, finding the scampi, escabeche, and mushroom calamari to be wonderfully tasty and creatively prepared. We enjoyed our conversation with our very capable and convivial server, Kevin. An excellent evening!

    We got in just when waiter changed and appears had to wait for the next one to arrive before service really started. So we got take our time with lovely happy hour drinks before eating. Food was ok, pizza was very italian and delicious but chicken sandwich was a huge disappointment. So service and food not really good, but nice view and relaxed atmosphere were the thing we wanted anyway

    Little bit disappointed in Oyster mushroom calamari we ordered, they were on little too heavy side, too much batter and hard so we could not taste the flavor of mushrooms. Additionally heartburn later… maybe the oil wasn’t fresh. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Although our salads were delicious, the ambience and our waitress were nice.

    Two of our party ordered hamburgers. One meat patty looked slightly pink on first eating, & we ended up just not finishing as it was even more pink on the other part. In BC burger would not be cooked rare. We should’ve spoken earlier to the Server —but could not find them. . It’s such a beautiful setting, but we were disappointed.

    Maria was friendly and mostly attentive as we enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the terrace with commanding views of False Creek.
