Born out of our love of fine wines and delicious food, Dock of the Bay - Gravenhurst has become the premiere location for casual dining in Muskoka. After traveling the world and sampling different cuisines, we decided to make our way back home and bring the world to us.

Chef Darren serves gourmet meals prepared with only the freshest produce. We ensure the quality of our dishes with the quality of our ingredients.

Our biggest challenge was finding the right, high-quality ingredients for the dishes we wanted to serve. We are dedicated to offering only the finest and freshest foods. We have also taken great care in assembling a team of only the best chefs, experienced kitchen and servers.

Great location for outdoor dining. Server could not be nicer Had to wait an inordinate amount of time for the main course.When it came, the chicken and salmon were dry and the “ boar” not as advertised. Considering the pricing, the kitchen should be better organized to provide speedier service. Last time we will be going to “Dock on the Bay”- a pity because of the venue.

food orders were tasty , and plentiful, and a little pricey -service was excellent, compliments to Ben - entertainer was so-so

Top-notch service (Clara was our server). She and other staff were so friendly, informative, and accommodating. I was on crutches and we switched tables because it started to rain, but they were so attentive to us. Food was excellent. Loved the bruschetta--nice soft bread. Steak was great. The pineapple salsa for the tuna was a nice surprise. It is an expensive restaurant, but you get good quality.

We love this very special restaurant! The patio overlooks scenic Lake Muskoka and is an outdoor paradise with plenty of shade areas if preferred. We reserve here for our wedding anniversary dinner every year since moving to the area but it’s also a really nice place to take visiting guests for lunch or an afternoon drink and appetizer. My favourite meal is the shrimp and scallops with house-made pasta but my husband prefers the perfectly cooked steaks. We often share a Caesar salad and the Lemon Cheesecake (also made fresh in-house) too! Portions are generous so you might want a take-away box…

Seated at a waterside table. Stunning views. Wait person came over 4 times to ask if we were ready to order, felt rushed. My scotch on the rocks was $14 for barely 1 ounce. Scallop appetizer $32, for 3 scallops, cooked well, beurre blanc sauce not rich or buttery. $42 salmon was dry, served with a way too sweet onion sauce, 1 stalk broccolini and way undercooked risotto. $90 !! special T-bone steak ordered, medium, came rare, decent steak, not great. Caesar salad with crispy pancetta was very good. Had to ask 3 times for sugar for my $6 tiny, maybe 4 ounce cappuccino. We waited almost 20 minutes for check to be picked up then just went up to front desk to pay. So beautiful view, perfect weather outdoor dinner but $330 for meh food and service,so sorry, cannot recommend.

It’s a beautiful atmosphere! We had the mussels to share and unfortunately they were not freshly cooked. My husband had the rib eye steak with Stilton and peppercorn. It was cooked to perfection but there was no sign or taste of the Stilton or peppercorn. Instead it came with a Demi-glace sauce. I had the fish of the day and it was very good. Our server Andrew was very nice and attentive.
