Born out of our love of fine wines and delicious food, Dock of the Bay - Gravenhurst has become the premiere location for casual dining in Muskoka. After traveling the world and sampling different cuisines, we decided to make our way back home and bring the world to us.

Chef Darren serves gourmet meals prepared with only the freshest produce. We ensure the quality of our dishes with the quality of our ingredients.

Our biggest challenge was finding the right, high-quality ingredients for the dishes we wanted to serve. We are dedicated to offering only the finest and freshest foods. We have also taken great care in assembling a team of only the best chefs, experienced kitchen and servers.

It’s a beautiful atmosphere! We had the mussels to share and unfortunately they were not freshly cooked. My husband had the rib eye steak with Stilton and peppercorn. It was cooked to perfection but there was no sign or taste of the Stilton or peppercorn. Instead it came with a Demi-glace sauce. I had the fish of the day and it was very good. Our server Andrew was very nice and attentive.

Amazing food and wonderful service. This is a family run place that understands the value of making great food and large portions, yet putting a twist of their menu with the unique items. The owner baking her own cakes and wow are they outstanding! You MUST save room for dessert here and I’m not a dessert person. Strangely recommend the white chocolate cream brûlée and carrot cake. Portions are large so appetizers are good to share, I will be back and bring friends, looking out onto lake Muskoka while enjoying dinner is wonderful, at duck they pull down screens so you can enjoy eating outside without misquotes ruining your dinner.

Appetizers: Bruschetta - average presentation, average flavor, average portion (7/10) Caprese Romanesco - fantastic presentation, Good flavor, small portion (8/10) Mains: Shrimp and Scallops Pasta - average presentation, below average flavor, large portion (5-10) Shrimps and scallops were cooked properly but the pasta was drowning in rose sauce. I looked like a soup which was off-putting. 10oz Prime Rib - average presentation, below average flavor, 12oz portion (4-10) Steak was cooked to the correct wellness (medium rare) but was a very poor quality cut. Steaks claim to be highest of Canadian or USA Prime quality, but this steak cut was neither. Chewy with poor marbling. Fat cap was hard like rubber. Hate to be so critical but it was one of the worst steaks I've ever eaten and definitely not worth the $70 price tag. Service: Service was prompt and accurate. Server was very kind and freindly.

Cocktails were delicious. The calamari was really tasty, nicely cooked and presented. I would order that again. The crab cakes were ok. We love crab cakes and frankly, we have had better. They lacked flavour and the sauce was nothing special. The day before, we had crab cakes at Big Daddy's Crab Shack in Ottawa that were better. The scallops were large, tasty and very well cooked. The scallop and shrimp pasta was good, but had far too much sauce. I couldn't even see the pasta when it arrived. I think perhaps a different pasta would have been better, maybe a broader one. I expect fresh pasta for the price. I am not sure it was. The shrimp and scallops in the pasta dish were very well cooked. The staff are wonderful. Very friendly and professional. Wonderful location.

Party of 8. All meals were delicious. Food was hot, well presented and everyone enjoyed all of the various apps, entrees and desserts. Service was exceptional.

Six of us greatly enjoyed a variety of dishes last night. Food was presented nicely and service was excellent. Will definitely return!

super location on the patio and lots of seating! Our server, JD, was exceptional, a nice attentive guy! A little pricey but so is all of Muskoka dining. You won't be disapointed!

Excellent food and presentation. Good view from the patio. Our sever was great however we felt rush to order therefore service was too quick.
