The bus boys left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness. While sitting eating our meal we watched what had to be one of the laziest employees go back and forth to the utility closet 4 times to get a broom, sweep a little, put it away, then come back to the same table, see more food on the floor and then repeat over and over. Barely moving the food all over the floor. It was like a game to do the least amount of work in the most amount of time. They left melted ice cream and French fries on the floor, never actually sanitizing the table, only for us to laugh when they actually sat some poor family at the filthy table. The poor woman brushed the crumbs off the table with her menu. Management was floating all around but not actually engaging with the customers or actually supervising the staff. It was a really pathetic visit.

Nice staff and good menu selection. There was a good lunch scene so there is people watching beyond the great views

We had a fabulous experience, from the time we entered until the time we left. Everything was wonderful. We had reservations but decided to sit at the bar. Kayle (probably incorrect spelling) was the bartender, she was very personable and made great recommendations on drinks, which all four of us loved! I especially loved the sweet and spicy margarita, Kayle made it more spicy and less sweet for me, which turned out to be perfect. Appetizers were great as well, loved the black bean dip. There were four of us and we all loved our meals. We will definitely be back. In fact, we're planning a girl's night out, and we'll definitely be going back to Doc Ford's

We decided to eat at Doc Ford's because I have read many of his books and really liked them. We made reservations for 5 PM and I am so glad we did because by 5:45 the place was virtually full. The scenery at St. Pete Pier is world-class, and we had a high-top table by the window, which allowed a tremendous view throughout our meal. We loved Jen, our server, who detailed the specials for us and served us delicious variations of Rum Runners. She then took our orders, which were filled rapidly and were wonderful and filling, so we didn't have dessert. We were so impressed by Doc Ford's that we bought souvenir t-shirts that have graphics specific to St. Petersburg. They're beautiful, and we've already received several complements on them. All in all, a wonderful night. We will certainly be back!

We ate outdoors on the deck. They had unexpected live music which was welcome surprise. The food was tasty and light. I had lobster roll and my guests had shrimp and a spinach salad with salmon. We all shared the calamari. The service was top notch. The waiter was engaging. Highly recommend.

We chose to sit outside so the noise level was not an issue. They have a very nice outdoor area with views of the bay, and the airplanes taking off. Our server was Diane and she was excellent. Very nice, attentive and she knew a lot about the menu and the various types of fish and seafood. Our food was excellent. You must try Doc's Beach Bread. YUM! I had the Redfish Bowl and it was nice and spicy. My friend had a grouper sandwich which she declared to be very good indeed!
