Thank you for choosing Doc Fords! If you do not see your preferred reservation time available please give us a call, we offer limited online reservations but would love to accommodate you. We unfortunately are not able to accommodate same day reservations. Reservations made less than 24 hours in advance may be canceled in our system. Walk-in's are always welcome! (We only accommodate so many reservations to allow more walk ins)

Our outdoor table space is limited. While we will do our best to accommodate specific seating requests for our reservations, please know they are not always guaranteed. If you would prefer a specific seating location, you may be subject to a small wait even with a reservation. Dockage is available on a first come, first serve basis.

For reservations larger than six, please call 727-290-9578. Any parties larger than 10 please email your inquiry to jtreservations@docfords.com. (Deposits may be held depending on number of party).

Food was amazing but the service we received (didn’t receive) was horrible. I feel like once the waiter realized we weren’t ordering alcohol he was done. He didn’t once check on us or even refill our drinks. We had to ask 4 different people before someone refilled our drinks. I typically tip very generously but he received the average tip because he didn’t do much of anything.

Had the southwest Cobb. Expected more than a simple chicken finger on the salad for that price.

Absolutely fantastic! This was my first visit (I was on vacation from out of State) and I couldn’t have enjoyed a place more! The outdoor seating was comfortable with lovely views and a nice breeze off the water. My waitress was by far one of the BEST I’ve ever had! She was attentive, helped me with my choice of trying something new, very easy to converse with and even took the time to snap a few pics of me that I asked her too since I was dining alone. The food was top notch and I found that grouper is now one of my top favorite fish! The rest of the staff was also extremely polite and welcoming. I will absolutely be returning and recommending this place over and over again!

Our waiter was excellent. We were never rushed. There were four of us at the table. I ordered the shrimp ceviche as an appetizer, and the shrimp were a decent size, however it they were soaked in lime juice way too much. I also had the macadamian crusted grouper, and it was delicious. The rest of our party enjoyed everything. However, I will not order the shrimp ceviche there again.

Our first time trying Doc Fords. I had the Mahi special and it was excellent and wife had spinach salad with Mahi and it was excellent as well. We sat outside with harbor views. Could also hear (barely) the acoustic guitar entertainer from the outdoor bar area. Everything was excellent except our server was very inattentive. She recommended my dinner and a Rum drink and never once asked how I liked them? Had to stop her by name several times to get water and the check. She was busy but noted her interaction with other guest was much better. It was so odd, I was close to asking if we had offended her in some way. Oh well, still gave her 20% but only because we have served the public ourselves and everything else was great. We will add this to our annual list.

We were a part of 4 in the area on vacation and had heard about Doc Ford’s from previous guests who stayed at our air bnb …. No idea the place is based on fictional characters created by an author published with SMP for whom I worked for 14 years back in the day! Cool! Okay, let’s get to the brass tax — the food and drinks were very good: fresh tasting seafood, salads and apps. Three of us ordered frozen drinks which were actually delicious, not machine-mixer tasting (IYKYK). The service was very good. The server was attentive and fast. There is a wonderful view of the marina from the upper deck and we happen to catch the sunset on summer solstice which was a huge plus. Only downside here is the mosquitos but it’s Florida… so use bug spray. Overall good service and very good food for average prices. Def worth a try if you’re in the area and want a view.
