Given it was a Monday & I have been to this establishment multiple times, over the years, the service was shockingly slow. Our waitress was just fine & did her best; however, drinks & food arrival was very slow, not because of the waitress, but our table of 8 believe it was because the establishment was understaffed on a Monday. We also recognized that the restaurant traffic was light, so that may again be due to staff availability. Now, getting to the food. It was definitely below expectations & I felt embarrassed booking this for 7 others that came into town from all over the country. In fact, my meal, along with another guest made us sick! While I was not as sick as my guest from CA, it was shockingly poor. I am not sure what else I can say. I would normally recommend this establishment, however, beware of Monday's because it's not the first time I have experienced underwhelming service on a Monday. I may NOT book again as I come down at least 6 times a year & try something else. VERY disappointed, along with half of my table of 8. I'm sorry, but it was a very poor experience. The food quality was horrible.

The service was excellent. Food was just okay. I went with my husband and two boys ( 17 and 9), we all thought the food was just so so. Lunch for 4 people was over $100, wasn't impressed with the value. We did try the brisket and pulled pork, didn't have much flavor. Next time in Louisville, we will try another restaurant.

Very good experience all around at Doc's - from service to food to atmosphere. From the moment we checked in for our reservation, the service was prompt, attentive, courteous and engaged, from the host/hostess to our server. Asked for a couple of food recommendations as we navigated the menu, and our server provided feedback that was super helpful. Food was very good, from appetizers to main courses. Cost was very reasonable and the space was bustling, but not overwhelmingly so. Would recommend to anyone looking for some good bbq and southern fare while in Louisville.

Excellent service but the food was mediocre at best. The brisket on the farmers breakfast was greasy full of fat with little to no meat and it tasted like it was smoked in dirty smoke. The smoke wasn't a clean smoke at all. The breakfast potatoes also had an off taste. . I'll give it another shot but first impression wasn't great.

We were here on Saturday night before a Jelly Roll concert so it was busy but they handled it like champs and they got us in and out quickly and we never felt rushed. A very nice start to our evening!

The food , service , and ambience was amazing. We started with the fried oysters they were delicious I had the salmon and my husband had the roasted chicken both delicious. Our server ( I can’t remember her name however she looked just like Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter) was outstanding. When we return we hope she is our server again .
