Dobson & Parnell is a bustling, smart, reliable and grown-up restaurant on Newcastle’s vibrant quayside. Its understated elegant dining room adds a touch of Victorian glamour and comfort.

Specialising in perfectly-executed, refined European cuisine, using ethically-sourced local seasonal produce direct from nearby farms and markets, the sustainable kitchen specialises in preserving techniques such as curing, smoking, salting, brining and fermenting.

We are listed in the Michelin Guide, voted in the top 10 list of restaurants in Newcastle by NGI and listed in the Good Food Guide & Hardens Guide

Lovely meal, great service , responsive waiters. Only slight let down was the dessert , we fed back our thoughts and it was immediately communicated to the pastry chef who responded with suggestions for how it could be improved. Everything else was fabulous ! The smoked haddock and barley risotto starter was amazing as was the chicken and the venison main courses.

Mean portions of thinly sliced meat that had spent too long under a heat lamp.I’m never sure why a restaurant chooses tasteless pork loin as a roasting joint when there are many other succulent joints to choose. Huge, overcooked and under-seasoned Yorkshire pudding. Not the best Sunday lunch. Wouldn’t return.

Excellent Sunday Lunch Food EXCELLENT it’s easy for a Sunday Lunch to be too salty NOT at D&P tasty throughout meat/veg etc Sticky Toffee Pudding No1 in my STP Chart Excellent Service as ALWAYS POLITE/ATTENTIVE/but DISCREET WELL DONE throughout SEE YOU SOON

Too expensive for the portion of food. Quality of food excellent but definitely needs improvement in the quantity. nothing to say in regards to the service, great manners of the waiter. Tables did not have a table cloth, which for the cost of the food and its quantity I would have expected it.
