Welcome to dLeña, a Wood-Fire Mexican Cocina & Mezcaleria by Chef Richard Sandoval.

dLeña is derived from the Spanish word “leña,” meaning firewood. The restaurant is centered around it’s wood-burning grill - a nod to the rustic open-fire cooking techniques of Mexico’s past.

The menu transports diners to Mexico through a multi-sensory experience in every bite of the signature smoked entrées, fresh ceviches, and unique sharing plates. The expansive bar features hand-crafted margaritas, Latin cocktails, cervezas and vino.

We checked out D'Lena's on a cold Thursday January night. We received great service from Katia (sp). The ambience and meals were great. Drinks were good. Our only negative comment is that we felt rushed at the end of our meal due to the staffers need to close up. We highly recommend this spot for a date night or for evening out with friends.

Amazing unique food. Our waiter offered excellent recommendations. It was some of the best food we’ve had. Would have liked more light on the table to see because the presentation was also amazing.

Todo estuvo super rico , solo pues evidentemente no es comida mexicana 100% . La única queja es que las bebidas estuvieron muy malas pedi una michelada y sabia a pura agua con hielo y la coca cola sin gas . De ahí en fuera el servicio excelente.

The overall experience at the restaurant was decent, as I visited for a special occasion and we enjoyed ourselves. However, the service at the speakeasy bar on the lower floor was disappointing. The staff serving the tables there, both a man and a woman, were somewhat rude. Despite dining in the same restaurant, we were told we couldn’t sit at the bar tables, even though we intended to order more drinks. We ended up ordering our drinks at the bar but had to stand, so we decided to leave, particularly since there were several empty tables available.

Did not expect to have a sampling of EVERYTHING on the brunch menu…what a pleasant surprise. The speed in the which dishes were served was just right, serving staff very attentive. The mimosas and margaritas were great! Definitely put this restaurant at the top of your list.

We really enjoyed the empanadas and the pork belly was too amazing for words. For entrees we had the Carnitas Pork Shank and Grilled Oaxacan Shrimp. The pork was good, fell right off the bone. The grilled shrimp wasn’t that great, it seemed overcooked and was hard to remove from the shell. Both came with tortillas that were not very warm and served in paper so they didn’t keep any heat. We would go again to try a different dish and definitely have the pork belly again.

Such a great place to bring in the New Year and to celebrate our anniversary. We couldn’t have asked for better service and great food. Everything was excellent! Terry our server was absolutely amazing, true customer delight experience.
