We have visited Divinos a couple of times a month since it took over Lucias and it WAS our favourite restaurant in Harrogate. However after last nights experience we shall never return. The food was unbelievably bad nothing like was said on the menu, even the tomato and onion salad had only 4 slivers of tomato a couple of strands of onion the rest lettuce which I do not eat. The mixed fish platter ,my favourite, was nothing like I have had before in Divinos. We did complain saying we were not looking for a freebie dinner but had to inform the staff . We paid our bill in full and left never to return, which is a great shame .

Dear Christine, We are saddened to learn that you have not enjoyed your recent visit. It would appear that this seems to be the case every time you visit us, whereby you always have a negative comment at the end of your meal. On your recent visit, you were also asking for the previous manager and after learning that he is no longer around, you appeared to become negative for the rest of evening starting from the multiple tables your were offered when you arrived. It would appear that your comments were based on the fact the previous restaurant manager of whom we believe you were friends with, is no longer around and therefore you have decided to unfairly attack our restaurant which has a detrimental affect towards the current hard working management and team we have. Food was ok but no more than that. Service was very slow, main course arrived 1hr 20 minutes after we got there. The red wine was excellent though. Montepulciano. Can't say I'd rush back, nothing really bad, just better available in Harrogate.

We were greeted by pleasant and very helpful staff. Water on the table immediately, drinks served very quickly and we weren’t harassed to make our food choices. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. We will return and recommend. The food was exceptional.

Food was absolutely lovely however both mine and my friends mains only came with 5/6 pieces of gnocchi each

We were regular diners when the restaurant was Lucia’s, so this visit gave us a comparison and it met or exceeded Lucia’s in everything but price. We used a 20% discount offered by Divino but still found the pricing quite high.

Dining on a quiet Sunday evening with only 5 or 6 other tables occupied we had a relaxed meal. Service was good, and everything we ordered was tasty. We particularly liked the mussels as a starter and the truffle pasta and king prawn pasta dishes. We would have liked more choice of the more expensive wines by the glass but enjoyed the bottle of Valpolicella we ordered. Overall a very enjoyable evening. We will definitely book again and we would recommend this restaurant to others.
