In a truly traditional style, Divina Cucina is a generations-old family-owned restaurant in California that keeps its traditions and customs alive by serving the richest and tastiest Italian dishes in the area. Upscale cuisine includes traditional Italian Antipasti, Homemade Pasta, Rissoto, and Pizza. For dessert, Divina Cucina offers flavors that will transport you directly to an Italian abode, with items such as spumoni ice cream, crème Brulee, and tiramisu.
It's a small and cozy restaurant with a little patio.
Our signature dishes are Cappellini Alla Checca, Vitello Alla Marsala, and Carpaccio de Salmon.
The restaurant is located close to these landmarks: Descanso Gardens, Griffith Observatory, Huntington Library and Gardens, and DTLA.

This restaurant is great! Perfect location, beautiful inside, lovely indoor/outdoor seating area with a Tuscany vibe. Food was delicious (we ordered the gnocchi and ravioli). Can’t wait to go back for the pesto!

This was a wonderful experience! The owner was there and introduced herself. She took the time to describe the large wine selection to our friends. She clearly takes great pride in her business. The interior was lovely and there was a nice patio with seating as well. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were all very pleased with our meals. They were fresh and tasty. I had the Spaghetti alla Paula and cheesecake for desert - highly recommend both. Divine Cucina is a new favorite place for date nights or special evenings out. The prices were reasonable and the servings generous. Definitely recommend!

Service, food taste and quality were all top notch! Last time we went there, our server got everything wrong. But this time, everything was great. My husband had the Lingini a la Paula and I had the Eggplant Parmigiana. Delicious!

We haven’t been to Divina for a while. We mostly got old favorites like lobster ravioli, veal picatta, pollo Della casa, and butternut squash ravioli. All were very good. The calamari appetizer was delicious. We got a few bottles of wine as well. Overall the price was very worth it. I liked the old decor with the stars and angels. Looks more modern now

Appetizers were very good. But the veal was as tough as shoe leather, the chicken Milanese was way overcooked and dry, and the eggplant parmigiana was just average. The tiramisu was good. Initial seating and service were great, but then service slowed to a crawl. It took 3 hours to finish our meal, which may be fine for a restaurant in Paris, but not one in Montrose.

Made a reservation for a party of 6. Stuck I. The middle of the restaurant. Noise level off the charts, could hardly hear conversations. Service was ok but because of the noise level waiter didnt hear a salad order by one of our guests so they didnt receive. Not a big deal and he was apologetic. I ordered the shrimp pasta (a 2nd time within a year) and again the shrimp was like rubber and had absolutely no good flavor. This has happened both times I’ve ordered this dish. Cooking shrimp is easy and should not taste like it was cooked before and reheated but with no seasoning or garlic. Very disappointed and an expensive dinner for the quality. Caesar salad had very little flavor. I cannot speak to the other meals as I did t ask how they liked them. Lemon drop was delicious though! Divina won’t be my first or 2nd choice for an Italian meal which disappoints me as I like to support our local restaurants.

To enjoy a low-leveled noise, we would suggest to come during weekdays (or Sundays); before Friday, as this day starts the weekend off and it’s usually full, causing more of a loud conversation-filled environment. We are sorry to hear about your experience with a couple of your dishes’ seasoning, we will talk with our kitchen staff in that regard, as we do not reheat, we cook every ingredient fresh. We’ve been coming to Divina Cucina for many many years and we have always had a good experience. This time there were some glitches. Our server was very nice, but she told us they were no wines by the glass on their wine special on Wednesdays, even though the manager told us they had wines by the glass and wines by the bottle. I ordered the fish special and she said I can get it with lemon caper sauce , but delivered it with creamy garlic sauce. Then I ordered a side order of plain pasta, no oil garlic. She brings me pasta with oil and garlic.. I didn’t have any unusual requests. I just ordered a special with the sauce that she recommended instead of the creamy garlic and did not get that. The food was good and the service was friendly, but she obviously didn’t listen to anything I said, because she brought everything contrary to what I ordered . And the manager confirmed on the way out that there was wine by the glass and by the bottle available on the wine special on Wednesdays. It was very disappointing because too much garlic upsets my stomach and I specifically told her that and she just came back saying well that’s the way the kitchen made it. No apology. We will be back, but I will definitely not want to have her as my server again and I will send back the food rather than reluctantly accepting what they bring out .

A local favorite. Greeted by staff each time. Food was exceptional - halibut, chicken, ravioli and fish special with pasta. Wine bottle very affordable. Always a lovely meal.
