We didn’t have a great meal tonight. My wife started with the tuna tartare and said it wasn’t very good. She never ordered anything else after that. Which was surprising because she loves eating out. I had the crab cake for starters, it was pretty short on crab but the dish had a lot of sauces to try and make up for it. It didn’t. I didn’t want to give up though I should have. I ordered the pounded veal next. Very bland veal was served with chopped asparagus and carrots with a cognac sauce drowned in lemon juice. I sent it back. I felt a little bad about that so I tried the linguini with white clam sauce. Which was a mistake. The linguine was cooked well but the sauce was watered down, not a seasoning in sight. The clams were a bit chewy. This was the most bland linguine with clams I’ve ever had. We eat out about twice a month. After that we decided to call it a night. The chef here is not a good cook, very sub par dishes at this place. Just terrible. We couldn’t even trust dessert, we paid the bill, tipped well and left.

This was our first trip to Dive Oyster and it won’t be the last. Oysters were delicious. Risotto was outstanding. My husband had chicken and that also was excellent. But above all, the owner and service were truly outstanding. They definitely made us feel welcome. Looking forward to going back.

Despite the name fish is not the only option. There are numerous pasta, chicken, veal, and meat options which are all very good. I go there often in part because the delicious options are so extensive.

Food was delicious. Seafood risotto was excellent- shrimp and scallops prepared perfectly. Service was excellent! Everyone was friendly and so helpful! Very efficient!

I was excited to try this restaurant but disappointed with the experience as there was a DJ with loud music and lights and it was impossible to sit in the restaurant and have a conversation.

Small neighborhood establishment. Good cocktails, wine and friendly service. Dishes were good. Disappointed with the oysters.

Dive Veal was too salty, yet tender. Portions were small, with a smattering of mushy vegetables. Husband spent the evening in the toilet after eating the halibut.

Have loved and frequented The Dive Oyster Bar since it opened. Last night was a disappointment in food and service. I hope it was just a one off.
