Award-winning chef Dipna Anand is proud to launch the newest edition to her restaurant collection in Unity Place - Dipna Anand Kitchen & Bar.

Dipna will be offering her authentic Punjabi and South Indian cuisine alongside a selection of traditional favourites at her new kitchen in the heart of Milton Keynes, amidst locally sourced seasonal ingredients for a flavour-rich, planet-friendly experience every time.

Dipna Anand grew up in London amongst a family of chefs. Feeding the nation ‘real authentic’ Indian food at their famous Brilliant Restaurant in Southall (voted as part of Ramsay’s Best for Channel 4), of which Dipna is now co-owner.

Simply Brilliant. Super meal at Dipna Anands. Coming from Greater London we’ve grown up on foods from all cultures and like to think we know great Indian food when we taste it. Well this is GREAT Indian food. Service was lovely. Staff friendly and fun. We’ll definitely be going back. Tiny criticism a table of 10 people was seated just by us and they were having the best time too but were LOUD making it a bit difficult for my husband and I to chat. But it didn’t spoil our time. Next time we’ll just go back with our gang. :-) Highly recommend.

Food was very very spicy and overpowered the flavours. We hardly ate anything because the food was not good!

Another very superb meal from Dipna. This is how Asian cuisine should be presented. A member of our table of four said that the chicken biriani was the best he’d ever tasted. We’ll be back for more of the best cooking in the city soon.

Fantastic food in a well thought out setting. We had very attentive service but in no way 'in your face' and the meal was really great value given the quality of the cooking. Will be back again!

Booked for 6pm, service good, food excellent. Started to get busy about 7.15 pm. Hope to be back next Friday

This was our second visit to Dipna Anand because we wanted to give it another go as our first experience was average, our second visit was not any better! I am afraid to say that the service was appalling, they clearly did not have enough staff and those that were there were really not interested. Our starters came before our "pre-diner" drinks, and I ordered one of their in-house brewed lagers, that arrived even later. No explanation was given even though we could see that they were having problems with the pump - and there was very little urgency in getting it fixed. The food itself was average at best, the tandoori chicken was nothing special, the tandoori lamb chops were tiny and luke warm, the only dish that was good was the fish curry. The sweet lassi was so sweet that it was not drinkable and the mint tea was like dusty shavings. I am afraid we will not be going back.

The quality of the food was ok with reasonable portion size but we did return a naan that had sat under the heat lamp and turned to cardboard. The thing that lets the place down is the ineffective service, everyone is polite and pleasant but something just doesn’t work, we waited too long to place a drinks order, despite a member of staff sitting down 6 feet from our table, same with food order and getting anyone’s attention when sat behind palms that obscure tables from the rest of the floor was more by luck than design. Someone who I think was a manager came and asked if everything was ok but when I explained the issue with the service, they didn’t seem overly concerned or motivated to do anything about it. I normally just say a polite yes but this was particularly poor service and I thought they might want to know. I’ve tried the restaurant now and won’t be going back or recommending it to anyone which is a shame because it could be so much better.

Hi we visited on sunday and we found the service we received was all over the place, we was told someone would come and take our drink orders in 5 minutes we actually waited 20 minutes and had to call one of the service staff. our drinks order came to the bar area and sat there until we asked a member of staff if they could bring it over,we ordered our food consisting of starters and mains but part of the mains came out first before the starters and had to be returned. But on a positive note the food was by far the best indian food i have ever eaten and i happily went through to the kitchen and thanked the cooks, we will certainly return as the food was beautiful and hopefully the service issues will be a thing of the past. First time visit to Dipna's in MK following a recommendation from friends. Nice warm friendly greeting at the door, shown to table after confirming no allergen requirements in the party. Service was very good, asked about elements on the menus to understand the dishes. Waiter was very knowledgeable and took time to explain. Good time between starters and mains so did not feel rushed at all. Main came and again waiter explained and described the dishes. Flavours were wicked really popped out the dishes. Great night out, look forward to returning soon
