Welcome to DipDipDip Tatsu-Ya, a celebration of shabu-shabu and other Japanese nabemono hot pot traditions curated by Chef Tatsu Aikawa and the Tatsu-Ya Family. Enjoy the interactive ritual of shabu-shabu—cooking thinly sliced meats and fresh vegetables in simmering broth at your table, paired with delightful dipping sauces. OR explore our variety of nabemono hot pots, each filled with wholesome ingredients and served with flavorful dips, rice, or noodles.

Very much enjoyed the ambiance and unique menu. This was our first time to the restaurant, which we told the waitress, she made zero effort to make suggestions or offer any guidance on the menu other than “drinks are on the back”. When the runner brought out the food he told us to cook it for a specific amount of time, but used a time measurement neither my partner or myself were familiar with. When I kindly asked him to explain what that measure of time was as it was our first visit, he said “a circle 8” then walked away. Still have no idea if that meant 8 seconds or as long as it would take to do a circle 8 motion the hot pot. We spent over $250 and left hungry. Was a unique experience I’m glad we tried, but we won’t be returning. Normally this family of restaurants does such a great job with customer service, so still surprised by how bad it was. Maybe we just aren’t posh enough to eat at this establishment and fully appreciate it. Also want to note that the check-in process was easy and those two individuals were extremely friendly and helpful. Wish I could say the same for everyone else.

Even with the recent menu changes, it’s still unforgettable. And although the timing of certain dishes occasionally felt lopsided, it balanced itself out by the end.

Do not get the omakase. It’s a gentrified version of hot pot that taste mid at best. Plus the value that you’re getting is terrible. The appetizers and the rice + broth was def better. Overall I would give it a 1/2 stars.

The sake we had was very tasty and we loved it. however, I am not sure the food was very fresh, especially for vegetables. A5 wagyu we ordered tasted very weird, which we were disappointed. However, this place is for enjoying an experience, for that, this place would be great.

Highly recommend the baller omakase tasting menu! So many delicious bites and the staff was helpful and informative with tips and demonstration of how to most accurately prepare each course. Our server Bradley was kind and friendly too! We would definitely dine here again!
