All of our dining will be either 6.30 or 7.00pm starts, unfortunately we will not be able to offer any later tables.

Our Adult only fine dining restaurant has been awarded two rosettes by the AA for the quality of our food.

We aim to host the majority of our summer and early autumn dining, alfresco in our newly built under cover outside dining experience in the garden. IMPORTANT ! when booking during this period please note, dining maybe inside or outside and will be weather dependent and whilst we understand that some of you may book with us to experience the outside booths, on the night should the weather becomes extreme, we unfortunately may need to move the dining experience inside. .

    We eat here whenever we are in Southwold, the food is consistently excellent and in all the times we have eaten it’s always been the same superb meal

    Lovely meal at Sutherland House. Scallops with risotto were wonderfully fresh and perfectly cooked, risotto was creamy and delicious. The crab Bon Bon’s were equally delicious. Lemon Sole with crab was so tasty. The monkfish wellington is worth the trip to Southwold on its own! Thank you for a lovely meal.

    Excellent restaurant to enjoy a peaceful dinner for couples. The menu is creative and the food well cooked and attractively presented. It forms the basis for a very pleasant evening.

    Really good stay and food at Sutherland house , Andy really treated us well and the food was all delicious , he also knew quite a lot about the wine we choose we was lovely

    The Sutherland House is a great place to eat, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the service is excellent and the food is delicious. Great atmosphere too. Recommended!
