We strive to serve exquisite food and give excellent service. Dillard's specializes in traditional American steakhouse fare including Filets, New York Strips, Ribeye's, Wagyu, and more. Our side dishes range from Lobster Macaroni and Cheese to Garlic Smashed Potatoes, and are portioned to be shared with others at your table. The wine list is both exceptional and unique to this town as we tend to find wines that other dining establishments haven’t yet discovered. Our cocktail menu rotates with the seasons, utilizing fresh berries and herbs to highlight our spirits.

This place makes me miss Todd Irish English Pub. The crab cakes were burned and the calamari was cold with ice cold cherry tomatoes put on top. The lobster Mac and cheese was the only decent item. The service was ok; there were 2 servers on the floor. I will never return and don’t expect this restaurant to remain open long.

We ate at Dillards Chophouse twice in two weeks. Let’s discuss the first. One filet was served with cold bernaise sauce. When we sent it back, the server placed her finger in the sauce to check the temp!!! She took the plate back and returned in less than 2 minutes with the SAME plate that she had put her finger in the sauce! The manager was rude and arrogant about the situation! A few days later, we spoke with Andrew Dillard (owner) and he sounded appalled and said he would “do something special for us on our next visit.” Fast forward to next visit— NOTHING NOTHING SPECIAL! So. Lesson learned. DONOT eat there. The food is good. Not great. You can get a better steak at Flemings or Perry’s. We gave them a second chance, definitely not worth a trip downtown!

They were not stocked. 3 wines and 2 beers on the menu were not available. Also. The next morning the only thing they had available for breakfast was eggs and oatmeal. Not sure who is their manager.

Service was VERY slow and there were very few people there. Several things they were out of or just weren’t available. We got served raw oysters instead of Oysters Rockefeller. When replaced, the oysters were still cold. It took almost an hour before the order got taken for the entrees after we said we were in a hurry for a show. When the sides were served there were no serving utensils with them nor any side plates. The entrees edible, not good, and certainly not worth the money. Horrible experience, don’t waste your time as there are too many good restaurants in Birmingham.

The serving staff and manager were awesome. The chef and everything out of the kitchen and bar were not good at all. They expressed it was the first day of a new menu so we will give them another chance once they learn how to prepare food as described in menu.

Our server Hannah was really good. We ordered crab cake (pretty good) and the lobster bisque which was luke warm and didn’t have any lobster in it. For our main course we shared a delmonico steak, truffle fries and creamed spinach. The steak was the best part of the meal. It was cooked exactly as we asked. It was juicy and the seasoning was spot on. The fries were good just not very hot. We did not like the creamed spinach. It tasted like it had been reheated and not freshly prepared. We were excited to try this restaurant. We may attempt it again but not in the near future.

TOO MUCH SALT They couldn't get my appetizer right Didn't have the wine offered on the menu Steak was cooked to perfection but the steak and all of my side dishes had way to much salt on them Our waiter was not as attentive as they should have been At our reservation time there were 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant
