I had read 2 favorable reviews on FB. And hadn’t tried something new in a very long time. The appetizer, mozzarella capresse looked intriguing. 4 large slices of toasted Italian bread…2 of which had a Burrata cheese spread…2 had seasoned chopped tomatoes. Unfortunately, that was the best thing that we ordered. Chicken Parm was served as 2 round discs with a mediocre tomato sauce and standard mozzarella. Included sides were all vegetables. There was an extra charge for pasta. Most restaurants don’t charge extra for a pasta side. My dinner companion ordered the Lasagne. I never saw such a flat, unappealing and unappetizing slice of pasta. No ricotta cheese was visable and considering there were only 2 other tables dining, the food was not piping hot. So we tried the cannoli for dessert. The pistachio filling had the consistency of 1/2 and 1/2. It flowed out as you tried to eat it. All and all, the dinner was sub par. I usually end my reviews with, “Make a reservation and go there.” I cannot.

Loved it. Thrilled to find this gem. Simple preparations , high quality ingredients. I enjoyed the trofie with pesto- not a common shape but it matches up with the classic genovese sauce. Entree portions are right-sized- for me that means I could finish it and be interested in dessert- brought home a lovely piece of a cherry tarte to eat later! Only thing I would change is the bread provided- I prefer something with a bit of crust and warm. This is on my list of favorites now

This was a lovely dinner. The restaurant is owned by a family who just moved to Naples from Italy in 2023, they're doing a wonderful job. The food as excellent and the service was great. This is the type of neighborhood restaurant we would all love to have around. I wish them much luck and I will return.

A Delightful Evening at DI GUSTO Italian Restaurant My father and I recently visited DI GUSTO Italian Restaurant at 4180 Tamiami Trail N. in Naples, Florida, and it was truly special. This family-owned gem, with Monica as the chef, offers authentic and delicious Italian cuisine straight from Italy. We started with the house salad, a vibrant mix of fresh greens, carrots, tomatoes, and olives. It was one of the best salads we've had—the vegetables were crisp and cold and very fresh. Next, we enjoyed the chicken parmesan. The chicken was tender and baked to perfection, paired with homemade pasta in a delightful red sauce. The al dente pasta was simply perfect. The service at DI GUSTO is impeccable. Our waiter, Davide, was incredibly accommodating, and his father, Roberto, frequently checked in to ensure we were satisfied. Their warm hospitality made us feel welcomed and appreciated. I highly recommend DI GUSTO to anyone looking for exceptional, homemade Italian food. They also have a good selection of Italian wines and a deli where you can get all types of Italian meats and cheeses to take home. If you're in Naples, don't miss a chance to dine here! On a side note, please keep in mind that you cannot see the restaurant from Tamiami Trail, and there is no signage on Tamiami Trail. DI GUSTO is behind the Wendy's in the back of the strip center. So, if you are coming north or south, you need to turn only Shady Rest Lane off of Tamiami.
