Looking for the best restaurant in Albuquerque Old Town? During the summer of 2005, our D.H. Lescombes Winery & Bistro opened in Albuquerque’s historic Old Town, originally under the St. Clair Winery & Bistro name. Enthusiastic to offer the best wine and gourmet food, we have earned an excellent reputation for quality and service while upholding our family’s six-generation winemaking heritage.

The main course was very good, though it came out 30 seconds after we were served our nosh. My date was the one saving grace of the whole experience. The entire front of the house staff needs to be replaced; from the snotty, lazy, and rude reception to the lackluster management (*maybe* spare the bar tender). We waited over half an hour to be seated, despite having a reservation and arriving early. We watched as they sat walk-ins that came in after us, and was repeatedly told “just a few more minutes”. They comped dessert, but that didn’t come close to compensating for the dismal experience. We were very ready for a great birthday celebration for my date and to leave an ample tip, but they earned every penny of the $4 gratuity I left. If you’d like to enjoy the food here, I suggest ordering out. I will NOT be returning.

We had a very pleasant time. Monday crowd was not very large. Food was tasty and inexpensive. Server was attentive and quick.

First visit but we will be back. The wines were not exceptional. Even the dry wines skewed sweet. How climate likely concentrated sugars. Server brought numerous tasting samples until I was satisfied.

This is a great place to eat, the food was fresh, the service was fantastic, and the overall experience was very positive. We had the potstickers as an appetizer, the Dijon chicken, and creme brulee for dessert. Nice selection of wines and other drinks. I'll definitely go back again. Good quality and good prices, highly recommend!

My wife tried to order a white wine, but 3 of the 7 whites on their wine were either no longer carried or out… I tried the schnitzel, but pales by comparison to real schnitzel … closer to a breaded pork chop… tasty but not schnitzel. I’ve enjoyed many dishes here before so I’ll go back to known favs.

The service was good, attentive and fast! In fact, I thought a bit too fast, but maybe since we arrived for an early seating they thought we would be off to the theatre or something. We were in and out of there within an hour. We requested the patio, which was very nice until the band started (exactly at the right time, since we'd finished our very delicious wine!). The band was very loud. I think of a winery bistro as a place for lively, but not brassy, loud music. Just my not-so-humble opinion. My husband's meat loaf was delicious, my salmon was a little undercooked to my taste, but still good. The French green beans on both of our plates, however, were olive green and looked as though they were yesterday's beans warmed up. Sorry, but you asked for a review. :-/

Made a reservation for 7pm, and wasn’t seated till 7:30. After being seated, it then took multiple minutes for a server to even bring water. There were no ramifications due to this and we didn’t get any compensation for wasting our time. The food was good, relative to the prices. Nothing to complain about here. The prices are great and the food tastes fresh and not like it came from a bag to get reheated by a “chef”. The ambiance is fairly loud. We came here for business and it was fairly loud that I had to repeat my self multiple times over dinner. The place looks nice, and is inviting. All in all, I’ll be back, but next time I reserve a spot hours in advance and show up to be told my table is not ready is crazy. Waiting thirty minutes past my reservation and no manager saying sorry for the inconvenience is wilding.

Food is good. My Frites were a bit cold Noise level was totally unacceptable. We rushed through our meals so we could leave. We visit this restaurant 5-6 times a year because it’s in our neighborhood

Our reservations were for 7 PM The initial 10 minute wait was not a big deal. When they tried to seat us outside on wooden seats with music too loud to be able to have a comfortable conversation an we asked to be seated inside. We were shuffled to the back of the line. It wasn't until I asked them to cancel my reservation and was walking out the door that the manager seated us immediately. From that point. The service was good. The food was very good. They could actually serve more than a couple of table spoons of veggies with the meat. The pot roast is excellent. Even if the carrots and celery are almost missing.
