The Devonshire Arms, in the stunning Peak District National Park, is a stylish bar and restaurant, with 11 individually designed en suite double rooms.

Our talented executive chef, Darren Goodwin, and his team deliver mouthwatering dishes every day of the week, complemented by an extensive wine list, a choice of cask ales and European lagers, and a wide range of premium spirits.

We pride ourselves on our wine list, which includes many wines not available in other venues or on the high street, with over 35 wines that are available by the glass and bottle.

Lovely bar/restaurant, great menu all served by a great team if staff who were super helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. An absolute delight to eat/drink in.

Great food and real bonus that the dining area is dog friendly. Staff wonderful with our dog too. Would return if ever in the area in future.

Wonderful Sunday lunch here on 1 September with our family of four and our dog. Service was excellent. Sophie was welcoming and attentive. Food was incredible. Kids menu was refreshingly varied. My kids are fussy eaters and ate every bit of the their three course meals. Sunday roast was superb. Desserts were special - a bit different. I had the cheesecake with popcorn. Highly recommend. We will be back next holiday! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The menu looked really promising but unfortunately the quality of the food didn't really live up to expectations e.g. Aberdeen Angus steak priced at £31.95 was mediocre. The trout was over cooked & the profiteroles that we had for dessert were probably the worst I've had - very dry, barely any cream inside & the salted caramel needed a magnifying glass to find it. We also had to wait quite a while for the food to arrive. Having said all of that, the waitress who served us was really lovely

Poor service, extensive waits for both starters and main course. Requested chips as alternative to potatoes and charged extra as a side course. Also requested additional gravy and charged extra for just a small jug. Food of an acceptable standard, staff friendly but not much else to add positive.

Friendly greeting and good customer service throughout from our server Elle. Very dog friendly. Good food and surprisingly long wine list too!

Wouldn’t recommend, especially on a Sunday at 6pm. The Sunday roast was over done, as though it had been under the heat lamps all afternoon. Dessert was better but I’ll assume the Sticky Toffee Pudding was bought in. A disappointing meal & dining experience. One positive for dog owners - dogs welcome

The tables were nicely spaced so that no one's voice over penetrated. The waitresses were quick to bring menus and take the orders, but at a busy time the main course took a long time to be served. However, the waitress did forewarn us of this. The French onion soup and the wild mushroom starter were really delicious. When the mains arrived, the order was incorrect: I had asked for NO Yorkshire pudding, but the plate came with two! The roast chicken and the chicken schnitzel were both very difficult to cut - steak knives would have been useful.. The drinks menu should have included prices. In summary, it was a generally pleasant experience, rather pricey, but we would come again. Thank you.
