Welcome to the Detroit Fish House Steak & Oyster Bar
We are a new seafood, steak and oyster bar located in Shelby Township, MI.

At the Detroit Fish House, we are committed to excellence in all that we do. Our seafood is all “top of the catch” and impeccably fresh and the wines are hand-selected from all over the world to complement our menu. The most important component though is, of course, our service. It is the mission of the Detroit Fish House to exceed our guests’ expectations for extraordinary food, beverages and guest service in a warm & welcoming facility. This will be accomplished through the relentless pursuit of excellence in all of our menu items, an unwavering commitment to exceptional guest service and our sincerest desire to treat everyone as if they were a guest in our own home.

Food was delicious! We had the Whitefish New Orleans with shrimp for the main dish and the mushroom flat bread for an appetizer. Will go back!

The salmon and all our meals were great. Dawn was an excellent server on a quiet night. Would definitely return.

Given a choice, my friend chose Detroit Fish House for her birthday lunch. Third time back. We shared Seafood Beignets which seemed doughy inside, they were okay, certainly not worth $16. Where’s the lobster? I had the walleye fish tacos, the walleye was good, but tasteless as was the coleslaw and cheese toppings. It was absolutely BORING! For being a restaurant that specializes in fish, I expected them to be the best! Again I was disappointed. First time there, I had the Salmon Rockefeller, which was fabulous, but I need to try a different dish each time. Loved the 1/2 off bottles of wine on Wednesday. Server was polite and attentive.

From my wife's Passionate Flame Margarita and my King of Manhattans through the Fresh Peachtree Oysters and Fried Lake Erie Smelt, the Lobster Bisque (best I've ever had) and the New England Clam Chowder (best my wife has ever had), to my Bacon Wrapped Georges Bank Scallops and my wife's Paul's Swordfish N'Awlins, everything was fresh, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully by our wonderful server April. The Creme Brule I received as a Birthday Dessert was delicious and generous.We will definitely be back.
