We are a new seafood, steak and oyster bar located in Shelby Township, MI.

At the Detroit Fish House, we are committed to excellence in all that we do. Our seafood is all “top of the catch” and impeccably fresh and the wines are hand-selected from all over the world to complement our menu. The most important component though is, of course, our service. It is the mission of the Detroit Fish House to exceed our guests’ expectations for extraordinary food, beverages and guest service in a warm & welcoming facility. This will be accomplished through the relentless pursuit of excellence in all of our menu items, an unwavering commitment to exceptional guest service and our sincerest desire to treat everyone as if they were a guest in our own home.

Saturday Date Night celebrating my birthday with my husband. From the moment we walked in, we felt special. I noted on the reservation that we would be celebrating a birthday and was presented with a lovely birthday card (and later a complimentary dessert!). The food was sooo very good and the service was outstanding. Our server Ashley said she’d give us the chance to enjoy each course without feeling rushed. Loved the calamari, clam chowder and lobster tail. Wonderful first impression. We’d love to return.

Server Stephanie was amazing! Very helpful with our Celiac (gluten free) choices! Mussels and scallops were perfect. My sea bass dish wasn’t the best in my opinion, the bottom of the fish was slimey and unappetizing. Even though we liked the overall ambience and service the dishes were 50/50. We will be back though to try some more

Previously put off by price for a regular dinner but this was an occasion and we were in search of a good scallop dish. Complimentary glass of champagne for anniversary, nice touch. Food good but 'fine food' doesn't have to be rich in flavor always. Best thing is that observed every table receiving all portions at the same time with multiple servers if needed. Food hot. Bread never showed as promised. Once discovered we weren't drinking the service went a little downhill. Typically not one to complain but these are my observations. Good but unsure on when we will return except for specific dishes or with friends.

I found for the price of entree it was very small. I had shrimp dinner Cajun style it was grilled and over cooked I received 6 large shrimp and fries for 32$ I would expect 10 min for that price .shrimp is not the most expensive protein. My wife had grilled lobster tail and was happy with her food. The bread and lobster bisk was good. Service was excellent for being a high end seafood restaurant the cook on shrimp should be perfect. Probably first and last visit.

We looked forward to celebrating our anniversary there and was not disappointed! The complimentary champagne is a nice touch and the service was excellent. The food met all expectations.

The food was excellent, same as last two times we were there. Service was a little slow, but it was Fathers' Day. Also, they tried to seat us in the bar at a high-top when I specifically requested the dinging room when I booked. I made our reservation two weeks prior, and the restaurant had at least a dozen empty tables when we arrived. They did move us to the dining room, and it still had empty tables when we left. I guess you have to just speak up. We would still go back, as food is great. Maybe it was just an off day.

Staff was Pleasant kind and professional food was great place was clean with an up scale casual feel. Would definitely recommend it for any occasion whether be family night out date or getting together with friends or why not hanging by yourself enjoying a drink or a meal?
