Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Desi Vega's Steakhouse, Mr. John's Steakhouse, and Desi Vega's Prime Burgers & Shakes. Desi grew up in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Our USDA Prime steaks are carefully selected, hand-cut and aged for tenderness, then seared to perfection and served on a sizzling plate. Seafood selections include steamed crabs and lobster, Gulf fish in various preparations each day, and plenty of other seafood.

This is the only Desi I go to. Have some guys from out of town and it’s my go to spot. Our server Charlize was very attentive and helpful.

The staff was great, the food was great, the ambiance was great, and it was so quiet that you could hear your party's thoughts. The waitress Charlize and her assistant were both a pleasure and never let us even get close to emptying a drink before they had another one at the table. They were extremely polite and assisted us with anything we needed immediately. We couldn't have asked for better service. The place is pricey, so don't go here expecting to get a cheap meal, but if you want to splurge and have an amazing experience, be ready to pay the price. Overall it was a great time.

Glad they had the heirloom tomatoes. Great appetizer Got the overstuffed po boy. Delicious but impossible to eat as a sandwich. That is not a complaint!!

The last 2 times I’ve been here and ordered the filet it was tough. Sure didn’t taste like it was prime meat. If I ever go here again I won’t order steak. It might have been choice rather than prime. Prime steak should melt in your mouth and not be hard to cut or chewy. Maybe they need to sharpen the steak knives.
