Derrick's Steakhouse: A Cut Above the Rest Celebrating a birthday at Derrick's Steakhouse in Kelowna was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance was sophisticated and inviting. The decor was elegant, creating the perfect setting for a special occasion. Our evening began with a celebratory glass of Dom Perignon, setting the tone for a truly luxurious dining experience. We started with a delightful beet salad, followed by a classic Prawn Cocktail – both beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we indulged in a 10 oz Striploin with Brandy Peppercorn Sauce and a 6 oz Tenderloin with blue cheese. Both cuts were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The accompanying broccolini and baby potatoes were perfectly seasoned and complemented the rich flavors of the steaks. We paired this with an amazing bottle of GD Varja. The service was impeccable. Our server, Chris D, was a true professional with a captivating handlebar mustache. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured our every need was met. The Maitre'd, Mike E, demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ross Derrick, who shared the inspiring story of how he opened the restaurant to honor his father's legacy. It was clear that passion and dedication were poured into every aspect of the establishment. To cap off the evening, we shared the decadent Chocolate Silk cake, a perfect ending to a truly memorable meal. Overall: Derrick's Steakhouse is a must-visit for any discerning diner in Kelowna. The exceptional food, impeccable service, and elegant ambiance make it a truly special occasion destination. We highly recommend it and extend our congratulations to Ross Derrick on the successful launch of this impressive new enterprise. The food was amazing. The king steak is shareable, cooked to perfection and amazing flavour. The staff is lovely and knowledgeable.

Service was great, great atmosphere, food was good. Unfortunately, the restaurant was extremely warm and deafeningly loud. I would recommend having dinner earlier in the evening if you find the noise level difficult to handle like I do.

Table arrangement was facing another table, you can hear others conversations and they can hear your. Not overly private. Food was ok, we had the steak and risotto . Not many starter option’s . Overall was ok .

I rarely like to order steak when eating out, but I knew I had to order steak my first time eating at a new steakhouse and god daaaaamn. Beautiful piece of meat cooked masterfully. We were a group of 7 and everyone really enjoyed their meals, and the experience in general. The steak knife selection is a fun idea. It’s a little pricey, but I don’t mind paying for quality. 9/10, will return soon!

Our dining experience was exceptional. The service is outstanding, they go above and beyond to cater to you. The food is amazing, and the tableside presentations are fun and unique. Highly recommend dining here.
