The atmosphere was a little bit quiet and I was expecting more especially on a Saturday evening, however the DJ was great and his music choice fit the vibe! The platter price was a bit over priced in my opinion but the food was tasty. Service was ok, however there were times I had to go up to a worker because no one was near by or paying attention to the tables for a while when we wanted to ask something. One thing I would raise is that, a few of the workers did have body odour that was not really nice especially when putting food across the tables, if this can kindly be mentioned as a room for improvement. Overall experience was good!

Even though our servicer was very polite and friendly - we had to ask for our missing starter which was forgotten or missed, than had to ask for bread to go with it - both turned up with our main course. (might not seem such a bug deal) but it is when 2 people are eating there starters and the other waiting. Again the waiter was very polite but she was very quick to pick our dishes up (which normally I think is great) but when we still have food on the plates and drinks in the glasses it was annoying. What was the rush - the restaurant was not packed that they needed to rush us (not that would have been an excuse either.) The food was very very nice - a bit dear for some dishes but on point with taste. I would go back for sure. The live music was a great touch and made it a great evening in the end.

Really enjoyed our food and cocktails and it has a nice aesthetic/decor inside. Service was a little slow but it was busy to be fair. I also think it would be better to have more space in between the tables, as it felt a bit cramped where we were sat. Overall we enjoyed our time and would go back.

I was there last week to treat my daughter and wife, I enjoyed it so much I came back the following week for my Anniversary with my family. Beautifully decorated and nice ambiance, just to point out it does play some modern music like club vibes, which adds to the atmosphere and not classical music like your in Kensington in your 3 piece suit. I have tried a few of the dishes on my visits, like the cold meze’s the humus, babganus and cacik is great either the fragrant flatbread. The chicken wings I'm sure are honey glazed and have a nice Smokey sweet taste not too overpowering. A must try is the Rock prawns, served like a prawn cocktail in a cocktail glass, the battered prawn with bang bang sauce is delicious and the complimenting salad also. I have tried the mixed shish and the mixed grill platter, both are delicious as is the Mediterranean salad with feta. The fillet steak was also nice with a side of sautéed vegetables, however I ordered a medium and next time I would order a medium rare to keep it more juicy for longer. Things I want to try next time would be the grilled sea bass, baked aubergine and of course the tomahawk steak. The strawberry daiquiri mocktail was incredible, definitely could get used to that, as was the pina colada mocktail better than others I’ve tried which are usually too strong or unbalanced, this had a nice light and airy balanced taste. The service was friendly, attentive and pleasant. The menu has items for a range of dietary requirements including vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and halal.

Service was great, fast and efficient. Staff were very friendly and helpful, place is nicely decorated and dark to set the mood. Food was quick and tasted great especially the rib eye steak.

Really nice place, I have been there now 4 times in the last 2 weeks and I must say, the one most important thing I like about god restaurants is consistency of food and with De Roya, I got the consistency, which is absolutely brilliant!!! Staff is very attentive and polite. We really enjoyed everytime we have been there. Yesterday I went with my 2 kids and they also loved it. Will definitely recommend this place and I am so happy that such a nice place has opened in Barking.

Based on other reviews had high expectations. Food was good but can't say it was great. Usually don't like to be at a restaurant for too long with kids but we ended up with two & half hours there. Bread for Mezze platter came 10 mins before the platter. So the hot bread was cold by then. While the platter portion was big, bread portion was bad. Asked for more bread, and it took 10-15 mins for the second portion. Also had to ask two different waiters. Main course was late and were were informed by the waiter. However, I was told 'Steak takes long to cook, hence it's taking a while'. I got worried for my medium-rare steaks. Steak was cooked properly and were medium-rare. The three steaks were good, and the two Turkish dish were average. The restaurant wasn't busy, fairly empty being Sunday evening.
