Denino’s Pizzeria is a landmark in New York, with our award winning, thin-crust pizza.

We originally opened in 1937 as a full tavern on Richmond Avenue, Staten Island until Carlo Denino introduced Pizza in 1951. Since then, Denino’s Pizzeria and Tavern has been renowned for our pizza and Italian cuisine which we always prepare fresh daily. We use our family’s recipes for Chicken Parmigiana, Meatballs and past, over the years we’ve added our own version of tavern favorites like Wings, Scungilli and Hero Sandwiches.
Everything is always made from scratch, never frozen, and cooked to order.

Whenever New Yorkers come home, they come home to Denino’s Pizzeria
for thin crust, crispy, Cheesy Pizza piping hot right out of the oven.

Food was good but had to call the waitress over on several occasions to refill drinks. Also felt very rushed by staff.

Denino's is one of my all time favorite neighborhood places. The food, drinks, service, ambience are all perfect for a comfortable neighborhood restaurant/hangout.

We have been to Denino's in the village many times. The food is always great, and we are usually treated politely. This past Saturday, February 1, we were treated rudely by our server. We had a party of 6 adults and came in 10 minutes before our 7:00 pm reservation. We wouldn't have minded waiting, but our table happened to be ready. We sat down and ordered appetizers and drinks before placing our order for pizzas. The food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. After being there only 45 minutes, the server came to the table and dropped off our check. She mumbled something about another reservation needing the table. After 45 minutes??? We were stunned. We were having a great time and still had some pizza to finish. A busser came to the table and asked if he could wrap the pizza to go. He began clearing the table of glasses and silverware while we were still eating! We told him that he could wrap the pizza, but we wanted to look at a dessert menu. The waitress came back over and rushed us into choosing dessert and coffee. We opted for coffee only hoping to sit for another couple of minutes and relax with family at the table. They quickly delivered the coffees, and she dropped another check on out table and said that we needed to hurry because they had another reservation. Really? After 55 total minutes at our table??? We were looking forward to a relaxing meal and now they were rushing us out so that they could flip the table? We have never been rushed like this at any restaurant - anywhere. Does Denino's now only allow one hour per table for dining? It's ridiculous. While the pizza was very good, the four first-time patrons that we brought with us were appalled. This is not how you treat customers. If management screwed up and overbooked the dining room, don't rush paying guests out after such a short time. Most restaurants will give you 90 minutes to two hours before POLITELY asking if you could leave. Denino's failed basic customer service that night.

Awesome small family spot. got a chance to talk with the owner and learn about the history and how he came to owning it. Great friendly service. Above all else the pizza is phenomenal

Wonderful convenient walkable location to Washington Square & NYU! Quick service and friendly staff! Quite a menu selection and above all delicious bountiful food! A definite 10+ from our table of 8. Thank you.
