Established in 1837, Delmonico's remains the oldest restaurant in New York City and returns for the fall of 2023. Living in its original building at the intersection of Beaver & William Street in the financial district, Delmonico's holds to be the first dining establishment in America to be called by its French name "Restaurant”. Lovely restaurant, our server Morris was outstanding. Steak and sides were delicious, the baked Alaska is not to be missed.

We enjoyed our Anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. From the wonderful host who made sure we came together to the service of our waiter who made sure we had everything we needed. Delicious food! And the sommelier who directed me to the perfect bottle of Chilean wine. Thank you for making our special day memorable.

I had an amazing experience at Delmonico’s. I can’t wait to visit again. The service was impeccable, the drinks were amazing, and the signature Ribeye was everything I had imagined it would be.

To be brutally honest, im not sure who the chef was but i went to delmonicos a couple of months ago and they were able to make a phenomenal lobster risotto. I had asked for the same dish this time around and insisted they couldn’t make it. Not sure how that’s possible when you have all the ingredients and some of the top chefs in the city. Commuted 3 hours round trip for food I could have gotten locally for half the price. Very unfortunate and dont think we will be coming back anytime soon as it’s not worth the risk of a chef that should know how to cook a dish but doesn’t. No sure who our server was but she was very nice.

This is one of the best restaurants my wife and I have visited in a long time, and we've enjoyed a number of superb restaurants over the years. The dry aged bone-in ribeye was out of this world, and we preferred it to the signature DelMonico's ribeye, which was still outstanding. The prices of the wines were fair, IMHO, but the wine list is heavily tilted toward high-end wines so overall the prices will knock your socks off. But be not afraid: if you know something about wine, you can find an excellent bottle at your price-point.

We had to wait about 20 mins at the bar before getting a table, but once we were seated, the service from the waitress was good. For a restaurant of this stature, it was pathetic to see they pass on credit card fees to the customer on our check. On the other hand, they offer one of the better Restaurant week menus out there, which is what my husband and I ordered from. I had asked for my steak to be medium also noting I didn’t want it red inside but there were parts that were still a bit red which I didn’t love. My husband had chicken for entree, we had crab cakes for apps and chocolate cake and Yuzu cheesecake for desserts. Everything was delicious except I didn’t love my steak as much as I wanted to.

Our meal was superb. We had excellent cocktails to start followed by Caesar salads, Eye of Delmonico Frites, and Baked Alaska and chocolate cake. Our waiter was a real character and made our dinner quite enjoyable. We cannot wait to go back!
