In an attempt to honor the history of our beautiful building, the third Melon Bank ever built, we pay homage to its past! We chose period correct lighting and finishes from 1940 to bring it all together!

Della Terra which translates to “of the earth” transforms the essence of a small town eatery. Centrally located in historic downtown Zelienople, our goal is to capture the warmth and comfort of an Italian trattoria. Chefs reinterprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that pulls inspiration from the Italian cooking tradition to create meaningful food, celebrating the restaurant’s ongoing relationship with its local family of farmers and suppliers.

We've been to the restaurant many times and always enjoy the food. During this visit, the service was remarkably slow (understaffed) - albeit friendly - and the "background" music was too loud. I can understand the benefits of having background music, but imposing the need to nearly yell to have a conversation is too much.

Great food and good service. The upstairs was so dark we had to use our phones to see the menu. It’s just a bit odd but we loved the ambiance, food, and service otherwise.

Had a great experience for my wife’s and I 40th anniversary dinner. The Duck I had was the best and their homemade spaghetti was so good. Our waitress was so knowledgeable and took her time explaining everything to us. I wish I could give her a 6 star rating. Great job everyone.

The artichoke appetizer was out of sight tremendous. Our waitress, Natalie was very attentive and fairly knowledgeable about the menu. The rigatoni with the vodka cream sauce was delightful. I am a person that only likes my Italian husband’s meatballs. I will say that these are a second to his. Very good. I wasn’t pleased with the bucatini with the zucchini and lemon. I thought it would have been like a white wine with a lemon squeeze sauce. The Caesar salad was extremely tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back. Want to try their pizzas. Happy hour is also a decent price.

Service was superb. Prices were very high I thought, and choices on menu very limited. Servings were very large. Food very good. Wasn’t a fan if the fontina potato puree with the steak frites however the steak and zucchini fries were excellent, as was the tiramisu. The spaghetti gamberetti was excellent as was the apple calzone. Would go back!

I've been here several times and Della Terra never disappoints. The meatballs are a favorite, and the fresh pasta is melt-in-your-mouth amazing. So fresh, so divine.
