In an attempt to honor the history of our beautiful building, the third Melon Bank ever built, we pay homage to its past! We chose period correct lighting and finishes from 1940 to bring it all together!

Della Terra which translates to “of the earth” transforms the essence of a small town eatery. Centrally located in historic downtown Zelienople, our goal is to capture the warmth and comfort of an Italian trattoria. Chefs reinterprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that pulls inspiration from the Italian cooking tradition to create meaningful food, celebrating the restaurant’s ongoing relationship with its local family of farmers and suppliers.

This restaurant is AMAZING! The food is so authentic Italian, not like every other "Italian American " restaurant in Pittsburgh. The real deal! I'm a proud Italian who lives to cook and is very picky... This place is by far the most authentic Italian food outside of Italy. Great service as well. A must-see and go. Great shops around, too. We arrived a bit early and wanted to grab a drink. There really was nowhere for a party of 6 to gather without being in everyone’s way at the bar. 4 adults and 2 kids. The garlic bread was honestly horrible. There were chunks the size of a dime of garlic. We normally love garlic but there was so much on the bread it lasted for days. It was unedible able three pieces. Was not sliced through. Hard to cut. Ordered the beef entree medium rare. Came out rare. For $50 you would expect more. Wasn’t a lot of meat. We were all shocked at the price. EVERY pasta dish was super Al dente. Again almost unedible. We left most of it on the plate and took a to go bag out of obligation. No mention of this from server. We waited so long for our good, almost 1.5 hours that we just managed and left. It was already late. For all the hype we heard we were very disappointed. As self proclaimed foodies we all collectively gave it a 6. Don’t think we will make the trip back.

It was very noisy and hard to have a conversation at the table. Menus had very small writing and was hard to read with the lighting. The server was great and the food was very good. The wine that came was less than a half glass. I think it is priced a little high for the complete dining experience

Always good. Consistent service and quality. We tried the chefs choice, 5 courses for 2 and it did not disappoint. Real fun experience.

This establishment should be listed as a bar / bistro. The menu is very limited and pricey. The pizza and meatballs had good flavor but did not get to the table when it was hot. The requirement to supply a credit card at time of reservation is a total turn off. We tried it and probably would not return.

Very limited menu. Did not come close to the items listed on the online menu. Strange charge method for drinks. My wife ordered a vodka and cranberry and they charged for each item separately. The only positive was the meatball appetizer was very good. We were hoping to try one of the Italian dishes advertised via the online menu but most of those were not on the menu so we ordered the pizza. It was average. Usually we give a restaurant at least 2 tries if we are disappointed on the 1st visit, but because of the sparse menu this will be our last visit.

Always a good food experience. Can get noisy but it adds to the experience I think…jovial atmosphere with lively food and drink.
