In an attempt to honor the history of our beautiful building, the third Melon Bank ever built, we pay homage to its past! We chose period correct lighting and finishes from 1940 to bring it all together!

Della Terra which translates to “of the earth” transforms the essence of a small town eatery. Centrally located in historic downtown Zelienople, our goal is to capture the warmth and comfort of an Italian trattoria.  Chefs reinterprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that pulls inspiration from the Italian cooking tradition to create meaningful food, celebrating the restaurant’s ongoing relationship with its local family of farmers and suppliers.

    Appetizer artichoke very good but pasta sauce thick and heavy on one dish and brothy liquid on the second. Will shift to pizza and appetizer only on the next visit.

    Love this restaurant because of the location to the Strand. Last night service was spotty and our entries were just ok. I will chalk it up to it being an “off night”. One of our friends ordered gluten free pasta but was served regular pasta and got sick afterwards.

    A very specialized selection of entrees. Our food was delicious. I ordered the rigatoni carbonara and my husband ordered the New Yorker pizza. We also were able to order appetizers from the Happy Hour menu. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, drink choices, etc. and our apps and dinners were delivered to our table in a very reasonable time frame. Though Della Terra is above average in price, the service and food are excellent.

    We ate at Della Terra when they were in their previous location before they took over the former Citizens Bank branch in the center of the business district. We had heard great things since the move and were delighted to celebrate our daughter's birthday there this past Sunday. I a word, the food was... PHENOMENAL! Clearly made from scratch and to order, amazing flavor and texture -- from the garlic bread, to an arugula salad, to the past dishes and pizza we ordered. The flank steak was also expertly prepared. We will definitely return to the restaurant and highly recommend it. The restaurant is pricier, but it certainly offers value. And you will wait a bit longer since everything is prepared freshly. All worth it.

    We ordered Pappardell Boscaiola and a New Yorker Pizza. Both were delicious and generous portions that could be split. The pasta dish was not too rich, yet so flavorful! My son really enjoyed the thin crust of the pizza and appreciated that there was not too much sauce. The service was excellent and answered questions with a smile and graciousness.
