We went for our joint birthday dinners and had an awful experience. The hostesses hardly greeted us or paid us much attention before sending us on our own to walk upstairs. We were finally sat and waited at least 10 minutes before we were greeted by a server or given water. When we finally had our drink orders taken I asked for another minute, and didn’t see our server for another 15 minutes. It was ultimately an hour from being seated to getting our appetizers, and another 15 minutes before we got entrees. Our server was barely attentive or friendly, and no mention was made for our special occasion. The food itself is delicious but very pricy. For what we paid and the service we received we will most likely never come back

My mom and I had a fabulous time at this beautiful restaurant. The food was incredible, and our server was wonderful and helpful in deciding wines and our entrees! Additionally, another server walked me to the restrooms when I asked instead of giving me directions, and I thought that was a very classy thing to do! I very much appreciated the thoughtfulness behind everything here! Will be back!!

Although rather pricey, the food was outstanding. Our server was terrific, and the ambience is lovely. The music is not soothing music for such a fine restaurant ,and is too loud. That is our chief complaint about all Cameron Mitchell restaurants

We had an exceptional experience! Our food & service was the best we've experienced at a Cameron Mitchell's. Beginning with the beet salad, then the shellfish platter (delicious, I highly recommend trying it), a filet, then dessert. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their menu choices. There is also a great gluten-free friendly selection. Dining upstairs in front of the open windows was an added touch! A great place to go for a celebration. Looking forward to returning!

Food was good - we had a hummus & lamb appetizer that was fantastic, a gluten free chocolate torte that was the star of the meal. I was disappointed in our meals. They were expensive, and I wasn't wow'ed. My husband had the scallops, and he enjoyed them. I had the swordfish, but it was topped with olives, which was overpowering & made it salty. I've had swordfish before, so I wasn't expecting the dish to be salty. I fixed it by removing the olives myself and eating the swordfish with the potatoes. While I would go back, I won't eat the swordfish again at Del Mar.

Dining upstairs with the windows opened was a wonderful experience. The veal chop was outstanding as was the garden salad and the baked chicken. Will definitely return. Service was top notch as well.
