We had such a poor experience at Del Frisco Double Eagle. Our server started out strong and then wanned off as the night progressed sometimes, taking 20+ minutes to return when we needed something. The food was subpar at best. We ordered oysters, which were overcooked and small. A porterhouse that was improperly cooked; we ordered medium and it was gray on the exterior and blue on the interior. My lobster tail was rubbery and doused in butter, even though I asked for none. The mashed potatoes were so lazy for a steakhouse establishment - they still had skins and were over whipped/gluey. I think the only good thing in the meal was a broccoli side dish. Overall, a pretty bad and expensive experience.

We were seated fairly quickly in a booth in the bar area. One of the bartenders came over and quickly introduced himself and the other bartender. He was very helpful in the food selection. We ordered 2 drinks. One alcoholic and the other without alcohol ( orange spritzers). They were excellent. For the entrees we ordered the 16oz ribeye and the sea bass. They were both cooked to perfection. The sides were lacking. The lobster Mac n cheese wasn’t really seasoned and the noodles were too soft. The broccolini was too salty for our taste. For dessert we had a shareable piece of butter cake upon the bartender’s suggestion and it was delicious. The ambiance was wonderful. The lights were low with a low noise level. There was also a young lady doing live music on piano. She did an wonderful job covering some old school hits. The service was mediocre at best. I mentioned earlier that there were 2 bartenders that were supposed to be servicing the section, but we only saw 1. That made our table’s service slow. I would go back but definitely sit in another section that’s not at the bar, even if I have to wait. I would try some different sides as well. I would also go back on a Saturday evening because the music will definitely have you singing along.

Let’s start with cocktails. The strawberry rose side car is THEE best thing smoking. I also had the anejo old fashioned and the double eagle margarita. Both good but, again, side car. Order it. For appetizers, we had the crab cakes and the dynamite shrimp. Both fantastic. I could’ve had several orders of dynamite shrimp instead of an entree. Might just do that next time. For entrees, wife had the sea bass and I had the crab cakes (again). For sides, we got the broccolini, creamed corn, and truffle fries. Wife is a huge sea bass fan. Said it was some of the best she’s had. She loved the broccolini as well. The creamed corn had a good flavor but was more watery than creamy. The fries were cooked perfectly but not seasoned well. For dessert, there’s only one serious option: warm butter cake. Life-changing event. If I lived closer, I would come just for this. You see angels. Trust me on this. We went on a Friday night. There was a singer in the bar area. She was FANTASTIC. Not only could she sing, her playlist was PERFECT. Bill Withers. Stevie Wonder. Michael Jackson. Mariah Carey. *chef’s kiss* Final total (including tip) was just under $400.

They seared next to a large party and the volume of the singer in the speakers was extremely loud. Our server forgot to bring us bread and didn’t listen to details . I went to celebrate my birthday and she presented guests at the next table with a warm presentation of dessert however she sent someone else to bring mine. Great ambience but poor service and execution. I would not return or recommend.

CARMEN OUR SERVER WAS IMMACULATE SHE TOOK PICS FOR US, GAVE US AN EXTENSIVE DESCRIPTION OF THE MENU, SUGGESTIONS, AND HOOKED US UP WITH BIRTHDAY DESSERTS. THE DRINKS/COCKTAILS WERE OUTSTANDING, THE FOOD WAS HOT, FRESH, TASTED AMAZING, AND SERVICE WAS PROMPT EXTREMELY CURIOUS AND DUSTED SWEETSONG & COPPER COVE THIS TRIP BY FAR. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️…⭐️ STARS. RECOMMEND THE JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKE, LOBSTER MAC & CHEESE & SURF & TURF TRIO. WHEN I RETURN I WILL 100% DINE THERE AGAIN. TEMPERATURE, AMBIENCE, LIGHTING, DECOR, AND FACILITY IS PRISTINE. DINE HERE! My waitress was phenomenal but the black bald headed gentleman was VERY rude. Unsure of his name. My friends steak was bloody when she asked for it well done. They came back with another steak which wasn’t a filet. I asked the gentleman 3 times what kind of steak is that because it isn’t what she ordered? He ignored me, rolled his eyes. Whoever he was he was very rude.
