Hidden away in a little suburb known as Auchenflower, Deer Duck Bistro brings a unique fine dining and degustation experience, serving up degustation menus in a quirky and artistic environment, thoughtfully decorated with French Renaissance furniture, old silver cutlery, crystal whiskey decanters and antique paintings.

For those with pure food indulgence in mind, come next door and sate your desires with our classic, Modern Australian and European cuisine. You are welcome to a Brisbane’s unique fine dining experience with a tailor-made degustation menu which is a spectacular five to nine-course meal, paired with the finest selection of wines. Consistently great quality food and a curated experience that was wonderful. A little expensive for the Valentines Day. But a great night that we enjoyed.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Deer Duck Bistro. We chose this restaurant for our 36th anniversary and were not disappointed…the 7 course degustation menu exceeded all expectations. Thank you x

2 words: un believable!! All staff friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Food picturesque and flavor explosions. Spices, sauces and garnishes all unique combinations. Definitely do the wine pairing!!

The food is amazing so is the service. Some may think it is a bit pricey but it’s about the experience as well as the food. We have been 3times and enjoyed every time

Our DDB 5-course degustation last night was again another fabulous experience with unsurpassed table service! My feedback on this occasion, is that the pork sirloin in our 4th course was a little overdone. While we very much appreciate & support that you are clearly open to hiring excellent waitstaff from varying nationalities with different dialects, we have all found it significantly difficult each visit, understanding each course presentation. That said, we will be back & are very much looking forward to potentially booking for the Valentine’s Day menu :)

Every dish was a masterpiece, skillfully balancing flavors, textures, and storytelling in a way that left a lasting impression. The word "curated" perfectly encapsulates the entire experience, from the meticulously crafted dishes to the inviting ambience. Every member of the team contributed to creating an atmosphere that is nothing short of extraordinary. This is more than dining; it’s an invitation to immerse yourself fully in the moment, free of pretense. Five stars hardly feel sufficient to capture the brilliance of this experience.
