What Dear John’s is to steak, Dear Jane’s will be to seafood. Seasoned chefs and entrepreneurs Hans Röckenwagner and Josiah Citrin have teamed up again for Dear Jane's. Taking full advantage of the stunning marina view, the focus is on classic American seafood dishes prepared simply with the highest-quality ingredients by seasoned chefs. From Oysters Rockefeller to Shrimp Louie, Surf ‘n Turf and Crepes Zuzette, the menu hews to those of some of the most legendary seafood restaurants of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. It will feel familiar and upscale, yet updated and approachable.

This sensibility will be on full display with hand-mixed tartare, classic caviar service, and professionally fileted whole fish. The layout of the split-level room and spacing between booths and tables are ideal for this personalized service that is begging to come back in style in this dining room.

I do believe that there should be bottomless Bloody Janes, as well as Mimosas during brunch. If not it should be in a different part of the menu to avoid confusion. Other than that, a lovely place to dine!

From the starters, Shrimp Louie salad, calamari, entrees, salmon, chicken Parmesan, lobster pasta diablo, cioppino, sides mashed potatoes & mushrooms, the delicious bread, to the service, DELICIOUS and EXCELLENT! Everyone enjoyed their dining experience and food.

We love their shrimp salad. And their cocktail drinks are really good. The sourdough bread is so yummy and the mushroom pasta was amazing.

We have been several times. The location is great for us. For whatever reason something always seems to go wrong. Last time it was terrible service and ok food. This time our waitress did an ok job but my food was not edible. They took my meal off the bill but that is not why we go out to dinner. We have had much better luck at Citrin and Charcoal

Food was good, but service was really slow. Our waitress seemed almost disinterested. There was literally 45 minutes between when we finished and when she came to check on us and it was not really that busy it was nice being on the water, but don’t think I would come back.

What a nice place for quality seafood and fish in the marina. Very complete menu for every taste and don't forget the sourdough bread.

Best brunch hands down! Dear Jane’s is a beautiful oasis for Angelenos wanting to escape the city without the time to hike out of the city. The food and ambience are reminiscent of your favorite seaside town with fresh, local fare.
