   Dear Jane's was great! Had a guest visiting from out of town and we enjoyed dining there. The chopped salad was delicious with tasty but light dressing. Sand dabs were excellent as well- light lemony cream sauce. We also ordered a side of mushrooms, which were also tasty.

   The food is consistently good as well as fresh sourdough bread ,great seafood and good drinks. I have been there several times and it flows well when you have a oood waiter. Half the time the waiters don't come around even when the place is not busy. I focus on the people I came with enjoy the food and make the best of the wait staff situation. Yes would recommend this restaurant even though it is quite a drive for me!!

   The fish and chips and crab claws were outstanding. We were there and got served fairly late and the shrimp appetizer was not great. In fact, we had to send it back. But they were cool about it. We sat in the bar instead of taking our table in the main restaurant and it was lovely and moody like the original dear John’s. Would return for happy hour where they actually have a burger we used to get at Dear John‘s back in the day.

   Way overpriced for what was given. Delivered preset menu appetizers to the table without even checking allergies. Appetizers had pistachios which would’ve killed my wife. $500+ for two people…. Even on Valentine Day is ridiculous, but if you’re going to hit people that hard, everything should be exceptional!!!! Also, get more staff on bigger occasions. We saw our waiter 2x. Oh, and the cocktails were half pours at best. DO BETTER!!!!!

   Both my girlfriend and I got sick after dining in. Manager was not helpful and a bit condescending. I would try to avoid taking risks ordering seafood here

   Our party of four ordered different appetizers and entrées, and everything was exquisite and perfectly created and absolutely delicious. It is truly a hidden gem.

    I liked The Dine LA menu. Scampi was good, parfait dessert very good. But here is the deal. I took my husband out for a big birthday. I wrote it down in the rest that it was for his birthday. I told the hostess it was a birthday. I told the waiter it was a birthday, he even congratulated my husband. I was expecting just a candle to celebrate and it was totally forgotten. This became a real disappointment as I wanted something special for him. Everyone was in too big a rush to serve to honor his birthday and I am not sure I can return. It left a hole in the evening.
