Welcome to Dean Martin's Lanning's, a fine dining steak & seafood experience. We offer five star, tuxedo dinner service & have a lounge area that features specialty cocktails, live music, and more. Our wine menu was awarded the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator in 2022, and we were voted locally as the best Fine Dining, Steak, Seafood, and more in Akron, Ohio. Helmed by a spectacular view of Yellow Creek, our restaurant offers a truly unique take on what fine dining means today. Why go downtown when you can stay in town?

While the service at Lanning’s was good, the food didn’t meet expectations, especially for the price. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a classic steakhouse feel and a nice view of the stream and woods outside. The wine was enjoyable, but the food was underwhelming. The scallops were overcooked, the salad lacked flavor, and the whiskey ribeye was disappointing with far too much whiskey poured on, making it taste more like a shot than a steak. The filet was the best part of the meal. Having recently moved from Cincinnati, we may be spoiled by Jeff Ruby’s, where the service, atmosphere, and food are consistently impeccable. Unfortunately, Lanning’s didn’t live up to those standards, and we didn’t feel the meal was worth the cost.

What a wonderful experience we had here for our sixth wedding anniversary. From the moment we walked in and were warmly greeted with assurances that dietary restrictions (I have Celiac disease) would be well managed and that there would be gluten-free rolls for me (a rarity indeed!) through the terrific and impeccable service plus the fantastic and perfectly prepared meals and cocktails, this was certainly a pleasantly memorable dining experience. I am looking forward to returning soon.

Tried once for birthday- fair at best for the price. Great ambiance in lounge however waiter was robot like- no eye contact, attentive at first then no where to be found when we were ready to order.

Excellent service and ambience. The food was out of this world, best Wagyu we have had in a very long time. Highly recommend it for a special night out!

The food was excellent and served at the perfect pace. We were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary so, on Open Table, I requested the table where I proposed to my wife. When we arrived at the hostess stand, she greeted us with "Oh, we have a special table for you" which was the one I requested.

It was amazing!!! I didn’t expect to it to be so elegant. Other than the food being phenomenal…..The atmosphere and service was perfect. I would recommend this place a millions times . I will be back

Overall great experience. It’s a cozy quiet and elegant place to dine with mostly traditional American cuisine (which we like). It was our anniversary and they gave me a rose and we had a free dessert. That was a nice treat. I had rack of lamb and it was delicious, but make sure to have the kitchen cut it for you before serving. A bit hard to manage otherwise. I also miss the variety of dressings and toppings for the salad they used to have. Lannings is known for their exceptional and high quality service, and that is what sets them apart. Hope they keep that going.
