Welcome to Dean Martin's Lanning's, a fine dining steak & seafood experience. We offer five star, tuxedo dinner service & have a lounge area that features specialty cocktails, live music, and more. Our wine menu was awarded the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator in 2022, and we were voted locally as the best Fine Dining, Steak, Seafood, and more in Akron, Ohio. I'm very disappointed to give this review because I had high hopes considering the location and from what I had read online, but felt like the entire experience was disappointing from the get-go. I would like to firstly point out that the staff was incredibly nice and helpful and had no issues with the service. That being said, I did call ahead and ask if I could get a seat by the window as I heard it was a decent view. However, I did not expect for this seat to be a bench seat in the furthest corner of the room that pointed directly out the window. So if you go with your significant other you're forced to sit right next to each other, have no view of anything else in the restaurant, just to stare out the window in front of you. Who ever thought that was a good idea for a table space has no idea what they're doing. It felt like a punishment to sit there, the view was awful. I had figured the table would be the worst part of the evening but, unfortunately I was wrong. I have no problem with a high bill at a more "upscale" restaurant, we love going out, but the food quality came no where near to what I've had at places I've spent significantly less at. Oysters Rockefeller is one of my favorite dishes and this was by far the worst quality I've ever had, not to mention that somehow the creamed corn I got had more flavor than both the dry aged NY strip I got and the sea bass my girlfriend ordered. This being the spot that I decided for our anniversary, I don't think I've ever been more underwhelmed by a restaurant in this caliber. I even left the "free dessert" card behind because of my disappointment. Overall, I would never recommend someone to come here if they were looking for a restaurant that's worth the money. I would suggest nearly any other restaurant; Twisted Olive, Diamond Grille, DBA, or any of the Alexander Peirce restaurants just to name a few. All cheaper and incomparable in quality.

We are used to Ken Stewart’s fine dining, but Lanning’s puts Ken Stewart’s to SHAME. The dining room is gorgeous and the atmosphere is so classy. Will definitely be back for more celebrations!!

With several lunches/dinners at Lannings, we still find it an excellent outing. Food & service is top notch & great atmosphere.

Wonderful experience for my stepdaughter's 17th birthday. We tried the bone marrow appetizer... something we've never had, and it was delicious. I've had better steaks before. Don't get me wrong, they were still good and cooked perfectly! But the W coast oysters and au gratin potatoes stole the show. I would highly recommend Lanning's to anyone looking for an intimate, delicious meal in a wonderful setting. I didn't look into the bar area, but I can only assume it's a great choice for the live music and atmosphere.

My wife and I love to try nice restaurants all around NE Ohio. She had been here before but I have not. It’s priced similar to Flemings, and maybe just slight less than Red and Marble Room. (All of which we love). I ordered the 45 aged Ribeye medium rare, making sure to say more rare than medium. The presentation of the steak was an A+, the cooking of the steak was C+ at best. Half of the Ribeye was cooked to Medium well and the other half to rare, almost as if the chef forgot to rotate the steak from cold to hot. At $125ish for the steak, I was really disappointed but we were in a rush so I couldn’t send it back. Not sure we’d go here again after that experience.
