We specialise in the art of cooking steak and have a fabulous wine collection to compliment our menu. If you're looking for somewhere to go to have a few drinks with friends, we are the place to go with carefully created cocktails, spirits and beers at the bar, there is something for every liking.

De La Vies is unlike any restaurant you will have visited before, we have created an elegant yet cosy place for you to dine and enjoy your night.

Visiting my fiancée in Birmingham and wanted a good steak. Went specifically for their tomahawk; it was spectacular. Loved the ambiance. Loved the food. Going back my with future in-laws tomorrow. Just go.

The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived at 7pm. A few more people arrived after 8pm; it was a shame that there weren't more but it was a Tuesday. The food was very good, we both had steak, which was cooked perfectly. The vegetables were nicely cooked, and crisp. Good Malbec wine. Compared to restaurants in the centre of Birmingham, the price was very reasonable.

We had a wonderful meal, the food was delicious and lots of it. The service was excellent, we really enjoyed our first visit

It was the best steak i have ever had. The starter was amazing and the girls who served us was always smiling and poliet .

Had Koobideh ( juicy) with chips as main and this Iranian salad as a starter, can't remember the name now, very tasty, can't fault both

Service leaves a lot to be desired. Even with booking ahead of time, we still got treated like walk ins. Wait times were extended between courses and even with getting our drinks we still had to wait for more than 10 minutes. They got us the wrong bottle of wine, informed waiter who was mildly annoyed they had to go back and get the correct bottle. Waiting periods totalled 40 mins plus. Then we’re told that we have over stayed our allocated 90 minutes but not before being offered dessert and told we should move to another table if we wish to stay longer. The whole evening went south after that and we wanted our experience to end. I had high hopes for this restaurant but the way we were treated was simply poor. They’re very busy accepting more and more customers in the evening but get annoyed with their customers when it gets busy.
