Amsterdam's De Compagnon is a contemporary restaurant that strives to serve its diners the freshest continental cuisine crafted with organic ingredients when possible, in its charming and relaxing eatery. The smoked salmon with chickpea puree and crème fraiche and the slow-braised pork belly with veal sweetbread and sweet ice wine vinaigrette make sumptuous starters. Some of De Compagnon's specialty entrées include the roasted beef rib with puffed garlic sauce and jus, the lemon sole fried on the bone with caviar, potatoes and Noilly Prat sauce and the deer filet with jus and celery root, all of which are beautifully presented. For a sweet end to your dining experience at De Compagnon, enjoy the sweet and refreshing white chocolate plate with blood orange as your dessert.

We flew into for a client lunch at the restaurant after having confirmed by email the reservation. The restaurant was closed and we were told by the staff there was no lunch service We had to find another restaurant for our clients in 15 minutes. So, overall not a great experience.

A group if 8 of us dined here last week. The overall attitude of the place is not welcoming. While the food is very good. The overall experience was just ok.
