    Food and drink are always excellent. From the bar the DBA Old Fashioned is fantastic. Steaks were perfectly prepared and delicious. Sea bass and halibut are also great choices. For sides the duck fat potatoes and the heirloom carrots are great. Dessert has to be the Nutella pie. Service is generally a little slow but just enjoy the ambiance and have an extra cocktail. We try to make DBA a part of all our trips to Akron.

    One of the few restaurants that is a guaranteed hit and always consistent. Probably our favorite spot in the canton / Akron area.

    The appetizer portions are very large, and they are not properly aligned with sauces and toppings. The salsa for crab cakes was more like fruit salad. The appetizer or small plates items were not fresh. Egg was not poached for Benedict style pork belly and pork belly should never be served as a large cut and it's a triangle on a english muffin. Mostly not palatable. Steak was cooked and seasoned very good but the plate was overcrowded with sides. They should serve sides separate. Service was very good. Even though there was only one server for the entire restaurant.

    First let me say the food was excellent. We had the ribeye for 2. But the ambiance is more industrial than lush which is what the pics led me to believe. Our server was wonderful. The tables and chairs could also use an upgrade. My chair has rips and the tables look like they were taken from someone’s garage. For the prices I guess I expected better.

    After 30 minutes from ordering our drinks, the waitress came over to say that the bar was backed up ( on a Thursday at 7pm), but wanted to know if we wanted to order food. We said we would wait for the drinks. After another 15 mins (45 min since ordering drinks), we told the waitress that if the drinks weren’t made yet that would just leave and eat elsewhere. She confirmed they still were not made yet so we left a $20 bill on the table for the waitress’s I convenience and left. How could a play have such awful awful service from the bar and then expect us to place food orders with no drinks yet?

    We think DBA has one of the best outdoor patios around. There was a guitarist tonight who was a bit loud for our interest and conversation, but those up close and listening seemed to enjoy him. Some of the food was spectacular (mussels, green pasta, bolnaise) some just ok (21 vegetable salad used to have 21 vegetables, but clearly not last night)

    The porterhouse for two was phenomenal. Service was great. We had a lovely time and we will be back. It’s nice to get a meal this good without having to go up to Cleveland.

    The steak was good. But the lack of attention to the sides distracted from it. The server didn’t know what was on the menu or how to pair a wine. The wine selection was broad but overpriced. The cocktails were unoriginal and poorly executed.
